I don't really want a sequel to Divine Flame myself, I like how Divine Flame ended and wouldn't mind GARO getting the Kamen Rider / Super Sentai treatment of having a new cast every series.

Guren no tsuki was just well... a horror, that's all. The setting wasn't the problem, nor was it so much the animation quality being inferior - the terrible writing and complete lack of personality in the characters destroyed it.

It's the same reason why nobody really cares about the secondary knights Duke and Gokai-Silver in Yami wo terasu mono - Apart from one or two episodes they don't really do anything.

A third season of the anime was confirmed to be in production, although we don't know anything about it otherwise. I'd quite like another story with the Honoo no Kokuin cast but a new setting and new characters could be very good as long as the execution is solid. One of the things that's always been kind of weird about Garo is the timeline. We assume Kouga's time is modern day, which means Raiga's time is at least a couple decades later and Ryuga's is even later than that. However, all three times are indistinguishable from one another. I know there's a certain budget component involved, but you can't expect viewers to believe Japan stagnates circa 2006 and stays that way for 30+ years.

I think I'm in the minority here, because I didn't find the battles than good. Maybe it's because Darío and Sara were boring; it's a movie, so there's not a lot of time to develop the characters, but even then, their drama was generic as hell. And the final scene is more of an execution than an actual battle, and the new form doesn't carry the same weight the fusion of Zoro and Garo had in the TV show. And what the hell, did León lose an arm out of nowhere for a few seconds to just recover it later? It feels like the kind of thing that should play a bigger role, but no one cares and then it doesn't matter.

Funny, but the best scenes for me were the family ones between Roberto and León, and the one that ends with Germán flying out the window.

Mostly disagree, I thought Dario was a great villain. His motivation was pretty real and sympathetic, even after he'd clearly gone off the deep end that was still driving him as a character. Unlike a lot of other villains through out the series he isn't a cartoonishly evil ass, he just wants his love back and while he is willing to kill for it, he spends a lot of the movie trying to avoid any unnecessary deaths. Hell, he seemed genuinely delighted at the idea that he might have a kindred spirit in Leon, and even offered to resurrect Lara for him .

As for Sara, I do agree she had a lot less character to her but I found the events leading to her possession to be genuinely quite tragic, and as a horror she's got one hell of a creepy presence.

As for the final battle, it was fairly par for the course in terms of a Garo power up fight, being more a full on beatdown than a proper battle. However I found the abilities and design of the form, as well as the music and the animation lifted it up and made it pretty rad to me. Helps that it was immediately preceded by a cool S1 callback.

Pay closer attention in the scene where Leon loses his arm. The horrors attack was absorbing people body and soul, that's what happens to Ema and Alfonso, Leon just managed to partially avoid the first attack. Once he gets hit with it again and is fully absorbed that's when he has his normal body back. That's also why Ema and Alfonso pop back out again when Leon breaks free,

She's useful. Still very sarcastic and snarky about everything, will do anything to get the job done like sacrificing a city to destroy a world threatening horror like in the series.

This time she dangles herself upside on a rope in some makai ritual to bring German back from the dead as a half horror half human to deal with the problem.

The joke twist being that she feels everything that German feels so when Leon beats the shit out of German for being a shitty dad, the watchdog loli feels it too.

A cursory ebay search says there's an official "Silver Glossary" replica that will run upwards of $600. There's an official Silva and the Garo sword on a chain, as well. What makes you think that? Leaving English grammar aside (I'm not a native English speaker), I'd say the translation itself was fairly accurate. There were some blunders here and there, the major one being getting León's age when he started training wrong, but that happens quite often with fansubs and sometimes even with official translations. In fact, and I mean this as constructive criticism, you changed a line which was correctly translated (Germán asking the prostitute to talk about life itself with him) into a mistranslation (Germán asking the prostitute to talk about his own life).
