Im currently watching Zambot 3, Ideon and Dougram at the same time, up to episode 7 on all of them

so far the only one thats keeping my attention is Ideon, oddly enough, I was under the impression that it was going to be Kaiju-of-the-week like Zambot and came pleasantly surpirsed, still, those buff-clan commanders are hilariously incompetent

Zambot is too dated for me, and Dougram is a bit too "dry", if thats the correct word to cassifly the way I feel about it. Im thinking about dropping all of them and just go to VOTOMS and Macross, fucked up futures and top-gunesque shanenigans just appeal to me more

Watch Armor Hunter Mellowlink. That's the finest /m/ OVA you can find and it's VOTOMS spin-off.

It has this Mellowlink guy who got betrayed by his superiors and he goes to get his revenge by using some stealth shit straight from MGS and he's not using ATs because those are for pussies. He has some rocket powered lance shit on his anti-AT rifle that he uses to penetrate right trough faggots' faces.

Even Chirico would shit in his pants if they fought. Only bad thing about the OVA is that there's no fucking blurays of it.

I can't give a personal recommendation if I don't know what you like specifically. If you prefer more plot oriented series, Heisei Kamen Rider would be your best bet. Sentai and Ultraman can be a bit more episodic.

Sea of Stars is mostly standalone, but also serves to set up the series. Overture just retells the first few episodes, but is much tighter and more "cinematic". If you enjoyed the rest of the series there's no reason you won't like them.

Both have what you want. Space Battles, named characters being badasses, what made them who they were, etc. Some just suck a little, but they are overall a solid 6/10.

Honestly, you want more LoGH, and you get more. Good guys are ubermen badasses who kill like breathing and can do very little wrong, and the bad guy act a fool and get capped.

Reinhard's gaidens are kinda weak in my opinion, since they tend to focus on him effortlessly curbstomping everyone around him as usual and ultimately don't really add anything new. I liked the lower key nature of Yang's, and the few that focused on Kircheis.

as opposed to Kircheis who does it more literally. I mean the guy is the more interesting character, but to describe him as less than perfect in every way is in some ways dishonest. I can't think of a single situation where he fails at what he does. He even beats Yang.

I like Yang's because of the overall themes of the 730 Mafia, as well as Yang's more thought out and less perfect victories. Reinhard's are good action/thriller pieces, simple and fun.
