Rules:
Pick any 1/144 or 1/100 kit from the Graze family (Pic Related), and paint and customize it. As far as customizing it, I'm going to place a limit on that. The limit is 50% additions to the kit.
To define 50%, look at it like this, you could take a Graze Ritter and replace the arms (including shoulders), legs, and backpack and I'd call that 50%. I'm not counting handheld bits in that. If you're unsure of something please ask in IRC, the thread, or email.

I finally put together my Astaroth parts set from GunplaAceDecember and god I forgot how BIG the rifle is. Shame that the pilebunker was designed with basically just the Astaroth in mind, as no other suits come to mind with a mid-arm hardpoint connector, but that's alright I'll find a way to work it out.

I don't know the tech talk, but basicly the fotos you upload from your phone have their default orientation set to lying down, when you upload it that's the way they are displayed on 4chan.

Edit them on your phone (turn them and save 'm) of upload them from your pc (windows saves the orientation).

It's cause your photos are taken sideways, and then your phone rotates them and notes in the EXIF data that they're rotated so image viewers display them properly. 4chan strips EXIF data when images are uploaded, so they go back to their true sideways nature.

The solution is that you have to save them manually after they're rotated instead of just rotating them and calling it good.

So i was going through tamiyas spray colors, and had to change some shad from the concept, to ones I can actually get. Over all its a bit darker. Although Im not liking any of their brown options. And the green seems a bit to cloase to zaku colors.

This color scheme is all over the place. For a simple grunt suit I think you should stick to no more than 3 colors of similiar shade. Stop mixing warm and cold colors.
The SS symbol looked better when it was just black.

- Keep it two tone for a grunt
- White and a muted red for the cuffs
- SS bolts don't go well with vehicles, try looking into divisional insignia instead
- Tried to match the collar to rank insignia found on Wehrmacht coats

Continuing off of Squatanju, I was actually surprised as to how nice the sinanju's skirt looked as a sort of torso. Took apart the HG sinanju along with that Geara Doga thing I was musing with building for the last groupbuild and settled on this. Might add the Sinanju's fuel boosters, but maybe forgoing a large backpack might be better for it.

I actually agree with that, a lot of the people who defend it say it makes the suits more utilitarian and industrial looking, it doesn't, it makes for edgy looking suits which /m/ loved cause /m/ equates utilitarian with edgy and impractical, and an exposed midsection that's left open and vulnerable to attack is the pinnacle of form over function.

The problem with this is that the HG Zeong kit is fucking ancient. It's not likely to get a new kit anytime soon though...
Not unless it gets a new use in Thunderbolt, and we'd have to go back to space for that.

Are there conversion parts kits for the GM Sniper II, in order to adapt its ball-and-socket shoulder joint to other kits that assemble with peg-and-polycap?

To go the other direction would be maddeningly hard work, but the direction you suggest wouldn't be bad. But it would require you cannibalize a kit for kitbashing (most ideally the same kit of the arms you want to attach).

You just put build the torso without the socket polycaps while leaving pla-plate in the hole and cementing it there for stability. Cut out the arm pegs from another kit's torso, then cement them to the pla-plate. Putty over any caps and sand smooth, and it should be okay.

I'm also a fellow newbie. However, I read somewhere some people use acetone (usual nail polish remover) to remove excess of enamel paint when panel lining. Acetone is too aggressive on nails (at least it leaves mine dry and fragile as shit), so I can only imagine how it would react on plastic. nope.exe

Right now I'm hand painting the Lupus merely with water based acrylic paint and it looks decent so far.

Just finished my MG Crossbone X3. It's on Amazon right now for around $60 with prime shipping btw.

Pretty solid build as long as you have gundam markers on hand, but if you've built an MG Crossbone before, you already know that lol. For those interested, aside from the yellow needed for the vents, you need red for the shoulders, blue for the hatches on the chest, and white for the V-fin. Also the decal for the 3 on the head sucks, so use paint instead.

I think such an old kit was perhaps a bit ambitious for my first stab at a plamo. I still want to do it but I think I'm going to do some other, easier kits first. My first port of call is to replace my crappy jar-feed airbrush that came with my otherwise great compressor, but what's a good kit for a relative newfag? No sirree, suits which never appeared in the series, like the Agg, Juagg, and Zogok, didn't get kits just because they would sell under the Gundam license! Mobile Armors like the Zakrello weren't shoehorned in just to sell toys! The Gundam wasn't redesigned and repainted to be more appealing as a toy for little kids! They didn't make kits of everything appearing in the show, like battleships, just to sell them! Gundam hammers, beam javelins, and G-Armors weren't just blatant advertisement for toys! He's a great modeler and early in Try had some good designs, but now hes clearly run out of ideas and all his original designs sort of run together and have very similar aesthetic and outlines. He knocked it out of the park with Revive Gyan though.

It looks nice but if you handle the model even weeks after coating and letting it cure the oils in your fingers react with it or something and it temporarily starts to feel kind of sticky. Also holy shit make sure you properly clean the grooves on the lid and cap after opening it or it will dry like super glue and glue the lid shut.

I would say they're gonna go back. The IBO designs mostly did require inner frames, as a lot of the mechanical shit was exposed. However, maybe the Origin stuff has an inner frame? I haven't looked at any of those yet.

They've been doing pseudo inner frames for years, ibo kits just have a little more than normal because of how much exposed frame the have. If you want to look at how bandai will probably continue forward with hg just look at the Origin line and Revive kits.
