Does anyone else feel like some of the derivatives of mobile suits can be too similar in appearance? It's almost like they imply to be derived from the same technology also means you must look the same and have the same layout plan.
Yes, yes.
With Anaheim at the helm, if you put a Zaku head you have a Zaku, if you put a Gundam head you have a Gundam.
Anaheim making all the MS is a bad point, Zeonic and Zimmad should have survived.
I think the Barzam illustrates how different an MS can look while being based on the same technologies.

I like seeing the clear lineage. Also you have to consider that when you're dealing with a lot of prototypes, they're not going to change everything, the difference become more apparent when you skip the prototypes and look at the mass production models in the same series.

SNRI are just as bad.
>>14981863
SNRI was a lot innovative, as shown in Crossbone and Victory.
Still, Zeonic and Zimmad were the shit.

>>14981863I am actually super relieved to see people agree with me and not just getting trolled!

>Zimmad in charge of MS design
If you're going to makes piloted bmbs and call them MS, you're going to go out of business.

Progress cannot be achieved without sacrifice.
The Zudah just needs more funding.

>Because that never happens irl.
This isn't even the only plane series that does that.
>>14981945
To be frank, I did not say that doesn't happen irl or imply it. It's a pretty obvious reality, but doesn't necessarily have to be as consistent as what you're referencing.
>>14981945
Shit, you probably couldn't even tell these are different planes if you didn't already know what they are.
