Man that was fun.

If only the Ares actually looked decent.
I wish this game had MechWarrior's group fire function

You could say that heGot To Burning.

If the thing burning supplies its own oxidizer there's no problem with fire in space.

Get both during the winter sale if you like 2D mech games.
I haven't played Gunhound Ex since I can't run it at fullspeed. Astro Port games have a very light efficient engine that can run at full speed on even the weakest hardware.
>>14983174
lol
>>14983051
Gunhound is like a 40 minute game. not worth 16 dollars. If you're on /m/ that means it's pretty much an essential game, but only get it during a sale.
>>14980441
>>14984668
>>14984582
It goes down to 3$ almost every big sale, extremely worth it for that price.
Love these threads.

not really, controls are shitty as fuck

>>14985999
It's a 6 dollar game from indies. It's pretty bare bones but they do their best with the budget.
>>14986171
none of the flaws have anything to do with budget

I'm a person who doesn't care for romance and hates high school hijinks, but loves smaller scale mecha and what little I've seen of FMP's designs appeal to me. Is FMP for me? Is there a specific part of FMP I should watch?
>>14996565
Since there are hischool hijinks (mostly in Fumoffu, very little in Second Raid) I would recommend you don't watch it if you have low tolerance for that sort of thing.
>>14996565
Season 1 is a mix of military and hijinks, but after that Fumoffu has all the hijinks and The Second Raid has all the military.
>>14996565
stop being a special snowflake that won't get you any superior taste medal and just watch FMP already
>>14996565
The original series plays the military/slice of life about 50/50, and its sequel series Fumoffu is entirely dedicated to the high school aspect.
The Second Raid's first episode has a high school subplot, but it's abandoned almost immediately afterwards for military action and serious development. If you want cut-and-dry mecha action, then watch TSR and read plot details of the previous shows online.
>>14996863
>sequel series Fumoffu is entirely dedicated to the high school aspect.
Fumoffu plays it for laughs anyways.
>>14996887
Yeah, but either way, the anon will probably enjoy TSR more if he's looking strictly for mecha action.
OMAE WO DARE DA
>>14996943
The Arbalest is entirely competent as a mech design, but the Savages are absolutely terrific. Probably my favourite ground troop mecha.
>>14996549
What is that from? Because that makes no sense.
>>14997274
It does in context. Also it's from Full Metal Panic Second Raid.

one of the most retarded things in Reco.
Not just the fact that liquids don't compress (that's why hydraulics works) but if the weight of the de-compressed water is enough to wash away mobile suits how the fuck was the thing that dropped the ball moving that fast?
They even had humans moving smaller compressed-water-balls around as if they only weighed a few pounds.
Bipedal robots is one thing, but compressing water to a lower volume *and* lower weight? Physics weeps.

My personal favourite, insanely enough, it's a eroge version called Night Slave. It's like someone developed a well-made knockoff on a nightmarish platform for action games (PC-98) and then added tons of lesbian porn just because.
Effin' Japanese.

Memories
>>14995538
I hopped in on a whim about a month back and people still seemed to be playing it yeah. No-one was particularly interested in partying up for squad missions though. If I was lucky people would clear the tasks but most of the missions got solo'd otherwise.
Never did get around to getting my Ares. But both kinds of grind don't strike me as particularly appealing.
Any webms of infantry fighting against mechs? Games or shows, doesnt matter

What is this game?
>>15006223
Fuck, you people need to learn to read fucking metadata. Hell, most extensions give you the fucking title under a button marked "title."
Will save these fucking threads from being drowned in retards asking for sauce.
>>15006228
I have extensions and the game's title isn't anywhere in the metadata, you insufferable faggot.
I performed an archive search and Googled keywords from other threads containing the same image, which finally yielded the title.
>>15006243
I got the title from the title button, you insufferable retard.
>>15006250
Googling moonrunes, checking the archive, same diff.
Might as well bitch about people re-re-re-re-posting shit without bothering to relabel the filename.
Anyway, is that game any good other than the cool transformation sequences?
>>15006264

Depends on what you're after. The combat is engaging enough (though less so when you're in a Skell) and exploring the world is fun if that's your kind of thing. It's psuedo-MMORPG ish.
On the other hand I feel the story was a little weak compared to my expectations, though not without a few good moments that will leave an impact if you don't spoil them like I did accidentally. I generally found the world building present in side-quests more interesting than the main plot was.
Also I can't really say I like how the party was handled. As far as the main plot is concerned out of the 12 or so possible members you can recruit, only 3 of them really matter and nobody really feels particularly unique or interesting. Though this is mostly a result of me comparing it to the original Xenoblade so if you haven't played that you may not be as bothered by this.
It's a fairly long game depending on how much you set out to do (I insisted on doing side-quests so I'm not sure what the average for powering through start to finish is) but if you enjoy a solid JRPG and aren't too bothered by the weak plot you'll probably enjoy this. I sure did in spite of the issues I pointed out.
tl;dr: The game part is pretty solid, the story part isn't as much. If you have the time to spare you'll probably enjoy it.
