Capsule Fighter was an arena shooter that had tight maps, short matches, infinate ammo, and large HP pools.
Meanwhile MSGO has massive maps, lots of players, 20 minute games, and infinitely smaller HP pools (Some weapons can simply 1 shot kill you)

The two games are very different and comparing them is like comparing Star Wars Battlefront to Extreme Vs

Some suits just make better skirmishers, and most of them are zakus. FS Type and DZA make fantastic 1v1/skirmish suits and though I don't have mine yet thats what the new char zaku seems to be, only even better.

I abused this thing and placed 1st on my last match at the Hong Kong map. Fed wins even though Zeon controls the Psycho Gundam. Because they fail to completely kill the base and there's no way to avoid or pass over a wall of beam rifle spam.

I would recommend trying TW. It has no VPN, a more equal meta due to the playerbase being made into one single group instead of more abusable teams, and a more equal meta in terms of mobile suits available, and thus, power creep. In addition, it has the old MSGO system. Plus the gachas, while naturally rigged, are ultra-generous. Through this, you should have full decks of good suits in less than 10 hours of play.

JP on the other hand offers stiffer competition - the meta change has effected the promotion system too, causing there to be pockets of super-well armed, more experienced players kicking around as low as on the border between bronze and silver, making promoting past them a pain in the ass. Similarily, you will also be using starter suits to fight their well-polished decks. There are exceptions though, if you choose to play Fed, as heavy MS beam rifles have been boosted heavily. This means the 200-cost, entry-level heavy GM is viable all the way to admiral-level, especially with beam shooter and modules to furnish it with.

There might be some december festival events up ahead on JP, so creating an account now might net you toys even if you don't start playing it right away.

SDGO was actually still making money after 10 years, and had a decent player population worldwide. But it was made by a company called Softmax. Bandai saw how much staying power SDGO had, got greedy, and decided to make their "own" SDGO. They ordered Softmax to shutdown SDGO worldwide (that includes the North American server), and since Softmax licenses gundam from Bandai (basically Softmax has Bandai's permission to make the game) they had no choice to shut down or face legal action.


Bandai tried to release their own SDGO-clone called "SDNE" which was a blatant rip-off of SDGO with only 1% of the units, was sluggish, and only in Korea. They thought the all the players from the original SDGO would flock to the new SDNE. They were 100% dead wrong, and Bandai had to close the game not even a full-year after release due to "lack of player population".

So if you want to blame someone, blame Bandai. They saw how SDGO was making a steady stream of money year after year, and tried to take it away but ended up destroying it.

Killstreaks are overrated, 3rd place gets as much kills as 1st place yet has around 250 less points total because he probably died inbetween the kills. And someone has to die, someone has to take the enemy shots eventually.

It is a bit painstaking though. I lack quick switch 3, all of the melee modules, howitzer prediction, all boost and balance improvement modules... but I suppose that is the price of reaching optimal functionality with my suits. If you want to admiral, you should prepare to play long and hard.

Quick Switch III is extremely noticeable if you're using a bazooka or a different slow switching weapon. However, the issue here is the extra whopping two extra slots it takes. Personally, I only take Quick Switch III on units like the vanilla GM or other low cost Assault mechs. Otherwise, Quick Switch II is more flexible and sufficient enough to allow higher cost MS to focus on other modules, like a Zaku IIF2 Heavy getting Bazooka and Howitzer Blast Control II or maybe Auxiliary Ammo.

Patience and diligence.

The primary shortcuts to victory are a) getting dank suits, b) platooning and cooperating, and c) studying the game.

C is easiest to access for you at the moment. Take your best robits, go into practice mode, and study maps. Select what seems like a heavy traffic area to you, and begin learning the ins and outs of the locations, especially hiding places, retreat routes, common lines of traffic, and the like. Then use containers - pick one up, set it down at a clear position, and measure your melee on it by starting dash attacks from a gradually approaching distance, learning the edges and the timing of the hitbox by practice. Then, once in game for good, take up your support and sniper suits, and prepare your chosen battle area with landmines, radars, anti-artillery pods and ammo satchels for you to use. These are also working decoys for careless enemies.

As for dank suits, you are in luck for being a fed. Your biggest advantage right now is the 200 point heavy GM, especially beam shooter type. Take the single shot beam rifle N, upgrade its lockon and damage as high as you can get it, and engage people at close range by simply out-damaging and DPing them with a bog-standard beam rifle. It's broken. The only secondary weapon you need is an auto MG N, similarily upgraded, to keep your balance bonuses as high as possible.

Finally, consistency is one thing that helps learning a suit. If you have 4 of the same suit in one deck, armed the same way and upgraded similarily, you will find yourself having more consistent results with the suits. Especially meleewise. If you use a low-cost suit, it's easier to get by with just 2 of the same, leaving room for above-mentioned dirty dealing.

To add to this - there are also certain times of day when to play either Fed or Zeon, especially on high tier. The highest traffic hours are generally very predatorial in that this is when you are the most likely to run into opposing teams packed with unreasonable numbers of recognizable high rollers and platooners, all put together by the matchmaking seemingly by accident. But that's just part of playing the game, and the one who uses those means is the one likeliest to win. After the peak hours, usually from 11 pm to beyond 4 am JST, the Fed happy hour is in effect. This has something to do with the shrinking of active player numbers down to the hardcores and little else, while Zeon side seems to consist mostly of casuals and foreigners, as the elite players are incidentially either playing their Fed characters, or doing something else. Then, the Zeon happy hour can be placed on morning to noon JST, the typically quieter hours, when the dynamic turns around as the NEETs are deep asleep, most casuals are at work, and only a handful of schmucks inhabit both sides of the game. It is generally easiest to score high at this time on both sides as well.

I normally play defensively, so now that I'm either grinding through a bunch of rental suits or some the basic Zeon ones, but it's usually good to have somebody hanging back to watch for sneaks or rushes.

It's also a good vantage point for studying how things go on a map; Where the choke points are, where are the high traffic areas, where do people normally cluster up, where deployables are often placed, and where common battle lines are drawn.

Honestly I'm probably going to go as full low-cost Grunt as possible myself...
I'm not the best player by any means, so I don't like the idea of a constant stream of dying hi-cost suits eating up most of our Force Bar, plus my BEST suit so far has probably been a fucking Gold BALL of all things.

So consider this. There a lot more ZZ's than Wolfs. The main issue I have with the Doven is while the ZZ can fire its gerobi as it feels, the Doven has to pull out this large cannon and make sure it actually works first. Personally I believe the ZZ is overall better than the Doven.
