ITT: moments where a series jumped the fucking shark.
Don't remind me that Crash exists.

She a qt

Op is goddamn right.
Also, I bet someone will post the songs from Megazone 23: Part 3. Because no matter how well they sound, they are far from Kumi Miyasato's talent.

I'd still smash Linna like the orcs do to Asagi. As long as she wore her armor, of course.
>>14979743
How about that Bubblegum Crisis 2040 then, eh?
>>14979722
Knew what the cap was from the thumbnail before I even read the subs. As >>14979864 states though, would still.

Speaking of sweaty aerobics and Megazone, I'd still kill for more Yui and Eve figures. Been trying to find "that" GK for some time now.
IT'S BEEN 3 YEARS
AND I'M STILL MAD
All of Tekkaman Blade II. Looking back, the preview for it should have been a sign, with the timeskip and the edge that was added to the show.
What happened between Artmic and AIC anyway?

I haven't seen Tekkaman Blade II, don't even know shit about it, but I find it hard to believe it's much edgier than a show with a main character called Dangerous Boy. Or that being edgy would put off most fans of a show whose main selling point to many people appears to be how tragic but heroic the main character is because he has to fight his family but fighting is killing him and so on.
>>14980523
Is there a term for characters we never get to know and who don't have much screentime but are supposed to care about as much as the main characters?
>>14983594
The main issue is that Blade II's not very good at it. A shame, since it means we'll likely never see that Sol Tekkaman design again.
>>14983847
You aren't supposed to care for lalah herself, you (already presumably)care about about those she effects.
>>14980024
More like, how about that novel from a few years ago that eliminated the diversity of the cast
>>14980523
And then it found ways to be even shitter. And then the movie came.
>>14986736
I'm honestly glad of this one. Gai is a fun short term character, but his personality would get grating long term. And really he inspired more character development in death than he was likely to in life.

Aquarion EVOL. Graveyard scene.
It and the period following it of about an episode in length are the quickest I've ever seen a show go from "kind of goofy but ok, sort of has all the good parts of Aquarion that I liked but doesn't seem to have many of the bad parts" to "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WHAT THE FUCK AM I WATCHING NOW.""LET HIM LIVE", she says, over the person who literally kidnapped her, dragged her around half a city, left her on a steel I-beam above a very steep drop, attempted to kill everyone on the cast including her multiple times, AND SHOWS NO REMORSE FOR ANY OF THIS.
>>14986736
Please, Gai dying was great for Nadesico.
Lala a cute
>>14986736
Let me guess, you dropped TTGL when Kamina kicked the bucket too.
>>14983876
The problem is, her effects on Amuro and Char seem highly exaggerated at best and completely retarded at worst considering she only had a few minutes of character development in 0079 overall before being killed.
>>14987786
Fuck off poojeet
>>14991388
But he's right
>>14988539
The character, the fight or the episode? Because I'm pretty sure none of them are a "jump the shark" moment, and that you're using the phrase like it means "did something I didn't like", as opposed to it's actual meaning of doing something to indicate the writers have no idea what to do anymore, have run out of ideas and have lost sight of what the show was about in the first place.
>>14987808
I did, but it's because I'm bored with the whole older mentor character dying crap in so much fiction.
