HLJ had an Ad about a new Scopedog kit coming out in the spring, I was thinking about getting it but ive never made a model kit in my life. Can I just snap it together and call it a day? Or should I start with a cheap GM gunpla or something for practice in the meantime

Start with Cheaper HG Gunpla. Bandai Scopedog kits are MG-Equivelent. Don't know much about WAVE's, but I'd imagine same difficulty level or higher.
