What was wrong with it? It tells the first volume (at least I think that's how much it was) pretty well, the voice acting was superb (especially Wakamoto who I think turned in one of the best performances of his career since he got to actually ACT and not just shout), and the animation is fantastic.

I don't know why Nagano has the complaint with the music that he does though. Maybe he just saw the Lynch version of Dune and wanted music like that.
