>Heybot is one of those shows that's damn near impossible to sub properly. The King's robot making tanka/haiku references for example.
If this is any indication, you know a show is something else when even regular pro translators have trouble keeping up with it. Whoever did the official subs is a brave hero/complete madman.

It's just one of those things that if you're not infinitely familiar with cultural nuances in Japan, a lot of the stuff will just seem LOLRANDUMB, That's not saying that it's not LOLRANDUMB, but it seems even more LOLRANDUMB outside of Japan without serious explanation.

The haiku/tanka thing and the fact that so much of the show is based on weird puns is what does it.

Over-Time localized Nossan's bad puns/dad jokes in Kyoryuger. This is on that level except the WHOLE SHOW revolves around it. Even the name of the robot itself is a pun, since "He" means "fart".

Pretty much the main reason Hokuto no Gun are having so much trouble subbing Bobobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo, since they need TLC editors, and that show is less crazier than Heybot.
