Here's the entire series of Ganbaruger subbed. It's part of the Eldoran series which is generally well-received around here.

The channel also has Webdiver too if you're so inclined. The CG is complete ass but the story is pretty good and it has a good VA cast.

Sokihei M.D. Geist (装鬼兵MDガイスト, Sokihei M.D. Gaisuto?) is an anime and manga about a post-apocalyptic world. The series is extremely violent, often depicting graphic scenes of human dismemberment and evisceration.

Orphans isn't even that bad, especially since you can just marathon it. I was and still am watching it weekly, it's got it's drops in the first season but so far the second has been taking strides to improve upon what it had.
There is a good six episode chunk in the middle of the first season that drags its ass, but it's still overall decent.
If you feel inclined you can watch the first season, or you can get all these recommendations out of the way first because by then the second season will probably be complete as well.

For me it's that while the first arc is good and enjoyable for a time then bad for a couple episodes then great, the middle and ending arcs waste a bunch of time meandering to get to an end that is the biggest let down epilogue ever.

I enjoyed Gurren Lagann but I've to agree with this. I really didn't like how Simon's depression arc went on for a stupid amount of time that felt like forever. The ending was trash, besides the main characters and the characters first arc mechs looked original the fucking future arcs mechs just looked like gundam rip-offs which I thought was boring.
I also thought the whole political thing for the anime was really dumb, I find that shit for a short anime.
I liked the battles though, thought they were pretty hype at times, however that's just me and I like hype mech battles going on.
The whole romance thing at the ending arc was also retarded.
I'm also probably forgetting something.
