It's really fucking dumb but I can't say no to those pretty colors, fluid animation and wonderfully diverse and original mechs. It's a fun show.
The manga is kind of the same story (well, half of it anyways) but told better, but this is worth watching if you dig it nearly as much as I do.

It's good for streaming, but streaming in general is bad.
Torrent, use mega, or scrape a non-watermarked site for ddls. Playing from your HDD feels about a dozen times better than laggy, buffer-ridden streams contained in poorly coded javascript/flash players. Not to mention the ad revenue that you're giving away, for free, to parasites - at the expense of your own computer safety and enjoyability.
Streams also limit your 'capping ability. Low def 'snipping tool' captures of a watermarked screen look awful. Use VLC player or the like and get a superior image. Getting quality videos from people like [EG] is another plus of downloading.
Remember also that when you dl, you now own! You will never be reliant on someone else's server to watch that show. You could even start your own server for personal remote access.
In general, /m/ cares less about streaming vs downloading, but there's a very good case for the latter that I think all new watchers should hear.
I started it earlier today and it's really fucking fun, the animation is gorgeous and the character designs are great. Writing feels very Tomino but fuck, its fun.

Streaming is my only option since my college campus blocks all P2P connections, Setting up a personal server sounds fun though so i'll look into starting one for myself using downloads, thank you.
