Why? Kawamori didn't even bother with Logos, what's the point now? If anything it's pretty sad they have to shoehorn Jin and Yunoha into everything to make people give a shit. By this point barely anything makes sense due to shit writing. I guess Logos gets a pass because it's Aquarion in name only, but anything following the line of EVOL and Sousei doesn't make sense anymore.

If anything the crossover confirmed they only care about pandering because doing ANYTHING about evol's plot just fucks it up further.

The problem isn't even that Mikono "won", it's that in order to justify her 'victory' they destroyed Zessica's character in the 2nd half of the show, rather than actually improving Mikono's.

She goes from a fun and active character to just angsting by herself without doing anything.

I would blame this less in Zessica's character and more in the writing. Zessica from 2nd half is so different from the 1st that they might as well be different characters. This is obviously a failure in the writing and not a natural development of Zessica's character.

The whole development around Zessica and Mikono's characters feels like some resentful schoolgirl's power fantasy, is weird. Think about it. Zessica is presented as the popular girl that is a good fighter, confident and sexy, and a bit of a bitch. Mikono is presented as shy and insecure, and kinda lonely. Midway into the show their roles are completely reversed as the entire cast seems to crush after Mikono and everyone talks about how great she is, while Zessica who is in obvious pain and suffering is ignored and nobody gives a shit. Making Zessica imitate Mikono to get Amata's attention and it being treated as an upgrade looks like the ultimate power fantasy. To make the popular girl so broken that she starts to imitate the heroine to get attention. By the end it looks like Zessica is being used as a punchbag just because she isn't Mikono. And since Okada worked on this, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case.

Is wrong to blame her development on her character when is obvious they kept screwing around with the cast and the plot because the show as a whole lacked direction. After Amata clearly rejects her she no longer counts as a character since she's forced to go after him for no real reason, just because plot.

Kokono lost the savior bowl pretty hard but when she did you know what she did? She pulled Akira out of his depression and sent him to save Maia because she knows how much he loves her and vice versa. She lost with real dignity.

Okada actually liked Zessica more and wanted her to win. Kawamori (after ignoring the show for most of it's production) suddenly showed up and insisted on the ending we got. And then went and insisted Mikono was a great character in interviews and was negative to the fanbase for not liking her like he wanted them to.

Okada really isn't to blame surprisingly. He main flaw is that despite knowing the boss wanted Mikono to be the lead and most liked heroine she mostly ignored her.
