How well would you think a Battletech plamo line would do if made?
The old designs were wonky, but the redesigns done by flyingdebris are really fantastic.
Of course it probably won't happen with those shitheads at piranha owning the ip, but a man can dream.
c'mon guys, don't you think it would beawesome?
While a lot of the mechs are saturated with greebles, there are a good number of simple, yet iconic designs that would transfer well to plastic.
not the hottest idea huh

It'd be nice, but at the end of the day BT would need more traction in Japan. I don't even know how BT and MW are viewed over there.
Besides, we have the tabletop stuff as is.

I was just using plamo as shorthand for plastic models.
Wasn't talking about japan specifically.
I just would really like some scale models I could build as opposed to statues.

Incredibly niche because the appeal of the setting is that it's basically the only giant robot setting available over here.
There's tons of them in Asia so Battletech loses all its ever had going for it.
The rules are shit, the story is rubbish and the minis are horrible.
Why play BTech when they could be playing better games, read/watch better stories and paint their premium quality plastic models?

>rules are shit
Eyy fuck you they're the best.

the new BT video game looks good.

precisely why I want decent plastic scale models made of the newer designs.
