MSG Origin IV is great! I would say the animation details of the scenery, setting and CGs were so fluid in motion. They literally tease so hard on the RX-78 project and that kept me look forward to the continuity of Origin OVAs.

Saori Hayami is new Lalah. I only know her as Kaede from Cinderella Girls.

Saori spoke about voicing Lalah at the premiere and said she really wanted to make sure she did a good job, as she was working with Megumi Han (she laughed as she talked with her on stage and mentioned her mom). It didn't sound like they snubbed Keiko, she probably just wasn't up for the role anymore. I think Hayami sounds great.

The male dealer was actually landing his throws on the slots he wanted, while the female dealer who took over kept missing her throws. This made Lalah's abilities useless, and it's why she blames the second dealer for sucking at her job as to why she got punched.

You know, it's not the Guncannon team getting completely blown out that bothers me, it's the fact that Sunrise once again can't choreograph feds losing for shit and just makes them stand there and barely react to simple movements.

The Zeon dream team didn't come off as particularly talented, they were just fighting brain-dead opponents who failed to execute the simplest of motions rather than demonstrating inferior piloting skills in a machine that can't compete with the Zaku. The mediocre CG means there isn't even any flair or enjoyment to be had by merely watching the MS in action either.

Yes, they are very bad compared with the Zaku Is. The Guncannons strike me as a combined-arms platform meant to support other field offensive equipment, like troops, APCs, tanks and such.

The Zaku is only concerned with superior agility and anti-ship combat. This results in very strong movement capability and weapons strong enough to punch holes into enemy battleships. The Guncannons were totally outclassed, and that's pretty fair.

Not that it was bad, butI think the fourth one was the weakest episode yet. It felt too disjointed, between Char meeting Lalah, Ray's RX-78 project and Minovsky's defection attempt. Amura and Fraw scenes, while nice, were also kinda unnecessary.
I was especially disappointed how brief they kept the scenes with Lalah. Considering how important her role is later on, I was hoping that the establishing of her relationship with Char would be developed more, instead the ending seems to skip straight to it's 0079 state.

Great visuals, plot and music, as expected.
But still has the dialogues full of melodrama, like 90% of mainstream anime. Too bad even UC is victim of this japanese retard sub-language.

Then by this very logic, we shouldn't arbitrarily restrict newtype abilities to born/raised in space and simply consider cases like Lalah as an exception to the theory. A theory that as far as we know Deikum pulled out of thin air based on observation and expectation rather than hard data.

The Origin manga is pretty much the best version of 0079 (which is the best Gundam, by the way), but the anime is way too keen on ruining scenes by over-emoting.

That stuff is great when you have to sell a scene as quickly as possible on paper, but having people freeze up or panic whenever Char or a Zabi does ANYTHING is really annoying.

There're raws for the entire series floating around, but if you want toread it in English then your best bet is to buy or borrow the Vertical releases. Scanlations are pretty much just dead, as Nozaku and Deacon are busy working on other series, and Gundam niche + official release + GOOD official release = little incentive or e-peen for groups that might want to work on it.
