Haven't done robots for a long time, even this one is pretty old. I have a Robo gal I like to draw, but she's more gal than robot in terms of design.

The gal in question. Most of her robotic bits are in terms of her concept and behaviour. She's meant to be a limited human-like A.I. for a game concept I had: a combination of Tamagotchi and Metroid where you would train the A.I. to explore and traverse her surroundings. Because her perception and senses are limited, she would have to find ways to increase them so she could explore places outside of her designated home space.
The idea was to have her first frequent a small apartment as a "homescreen", but as she gains knowledge and abilities from her "boss", she goes beyond it and finds herself in a derelict housing station. The goal of the game is to get her out.

WIP of the v.2.0 of an old combiner I made several years ago.
Vehicle 1: Is, uh, some sort of buggy. Equipped with 2 vulcan cannons and 16 missiles. Forms the head, shoulders and upper arms.
Vehicle 2: A tank. Turret forms the chest. The absent chassis forms the hips and thighs. 1 Railgun will be added to each side of the turret.
Vehicle 3: A mobile missile launcher: Only the cab is done here which forms the forearms and hands. The back portion forms the legs and feet. Various missile pods will be housed there.

to be completely honest I hate that design. The color scheme is garish, the plates have no volume, and there's no visible mechanical parts. Plus, the seam lines/panelling isn't very harmonious. On top of that, there's nothing really special or evocative about her aesthetic. It kinda reminds me of megaman designs, but less good in every way.
I recommend re-doing it from scratch with a stronger vision of what she should look like and why.

I would appreciate slightly more...helpful reviews/details but I still thank you for your input, like I said above I'm always working on her.
I think the color scheme will get toyed with but I actually like the bright colors, maybe I'll ditch the dark blue or try to balance it all out more.
The mechanical parts may or may not become more visible, thinking about redesigning parts of her(such as joints) to appear more mechanical to pull her more away from the "miscolored human" look, though she is supposed to look very human in some regards.
I really don't know what to do about seam lines, but I will think about it.
I outright disagree with you on the aesthetic, she is by far my favorite OC and my most popular creation among strangers and friends alike, but that's a matter of opinion so I won't say your wrong, just that I disagree.
The megaman statement feels like a cheap insult, and doesn't help me in any way.
From scratch seems a bit extreme, but I will work on solidifying my vision of what I want her to look like and why.

To get her out of the derelict housing station...which is where the game takes place but I don't want to get so meta yet.
Was considering having the housing stating be a large tower, serving not only as a housing station, but a production plant, with this model of gal bot being mass produced (pic related) along with other types that would be found later. But the plant has been out of service for years, and was seemingly forgotten. Only the housing portion is active.
Despite the above, the tone is meant less to be dark, and more mysterious. It's about expanding one's horizons from something very small and simplistic, to something larger. The A-15 robots I posted exist in the same world as the girl does, and I wanted to have one show up in the tower to scope it out and further assist the gal's exodus, leaving hints to upgrade stations and revealing things she could not sense or perceive before due to limited programming and machinery.
As for why these two very different types of robots exist in the same place: She's meant to be more a friendly greeter type of bot, vaguely like Yumemi Hoshino. There are others like her in the tower as well, but I'll save that for later.

I'm not seeking to help you so much as I'm seeking to make you less proud of what you did so that you think twice before posting ugly things.
Plus, if you become too attached to this (bad) design you might not figure out how to fix it optimally.
Re-do it from scratch. There's very little in it that deserves to be kept.
Or just drop the project altogether and do something else instead. That's fine as well.
