Well, there's Gaogaigar, Zaureru, Dunbine, the Botunes, Fighter ZZ, Big Volfogg, Patrick's GN-XIV, pretty much every SD Gundam unit that isn't Nu, Boss Borot, Manon's Guardian, Sirbine, Zwauth (not Zwarth, the thing you are using, but Zwauth), the Delta Plus, the red Clanche, the Genoace and 0G frame Aestivalises. Only games it doesn't have that in is in Alpha 1/A/AP and those are games where it isn't part of its sprite as well.

R and D also lack it in the sprite but had the common sense of at least having it.

It is not easy to collect decent pictures of giant robots from an anime where literally all the shots of said robots look like they had a jar of water upended on them, and that is also hardsubbed for added difficulty. Dancouga's new attack is just a MAPW.

The only person who use can the Leige Geios is a side unit from Daitarn so that thing's just part sell fodder.

Shin Getter is a more important choice here since you're deciding on whether or not you want a stronger more EN whorish Getter vs an extra attack for Usso, Sirbine and Silky (Sirbine might be a mediocre unit due to no range but the parts that it sells for are top notch) and a bunch of neat Gundam units for you to bounce around with before you sell most of them at the end anyway.

When it comes to good animation in the 80s you need to be looking at the OVAs, not TV shows who's budget was stretched to cover 60+ episodes.

That said, I appreciate that how in Godmars they always make a point of showing you the opposing pilot dying.

That's actually an interesting idea, albeit and infuriating one.

If you were actually going to do such a thing, though, it'd be better to just set a flag to make an attack uninteractwithable rather than crib from MAP attacks--if only because a MAP attack that targets a single unit doesn't actually attack the map.

They built it for both of them even in Alpha. The intent was always for Banpreios to have four pilots, that's why it can't use its sword without Aya. Since Mai now has more experience with piloting offensively-focused PTs thanks to her time in the ART-1, while Aya has more experience with remote weapons, it makes sense for Mai to be intended as the main pilot, who handles evasive maneuvers and the basic weapons, while Aya provides support by controlling the Strike Shields and TK Missiles. What if, the final five stages or so were the kind that let you choose the order, like in Compact and stuff. All five stages are final battles like the 00S1 finale and the GGG finale. You keep losing units, and even though you win, your units are destroyed (or damaged with not enough time to repair before the end of the game). By then end of the game, nobody, or almost nobody is left standing. The bad guys move their agenda forward, and then you start the next game from square 1.

Very durable outside of Shin Getter and maybe Granviel, but you certainly won't be dodging much and that last stage is gonna be a slog without some extra units to dogpile the bosses with. They give you 40 slots for a reason you know.

Also your hitting some serious 1-Range finisher clog but that's sort of unavoidable unless you actively go out of your way to get specific units.

They're sort of superbosses you're actually never meant to encounter (as they spawn on turn 10 EP), so yes, those stats are insane.
Though, that said, Septuagint with the highest amount of skill points had 660 base EN in OG1, rising to 858 in Ex-Hard.

That's basically a Neo/OE enemy, most of the bosses and minibosses have absurd amounts of EN despite never using more than 5 or 10 for their attacks and some of them also not moving.

(The final boss of Neo is totally immobile and uses no EN for any of its attacks. It still has like 800 EN. There is no reason for this.)

Problem is, the items are random, but decided when they spawn, so you might get fodder trash like A Adaptors or Resupply Modules instead of V/W-Ups or Haros.

So I decided to do this just for shits and giggles on my current run hacked with money and kill counts because I've been through this god knows how many times and I just wanted to see how dangerous things got.

First thing I got was Astraganant and my upgrade level 40 Golion couldn't even get over 50% on him and he was doing a third of my health with each hit. This might be the first thing in the engine besides Neo Granzon that's really challenged me.

Unit Upgrades. I could do this from the save file but combiners make it easy since they have an extremely easy way of breaking the limit cap. Combiner pieces stack upgrades so you can very easily make a top tier shit wrecker if you get a few combiners early on and pour money into them.

Huh. I knew about the combiners sharing upgrades making thing easier, but how did you bypass the usual max level of 10 for unit upgrades?

Well, for combiners, if you leveled a combiner to level 10, and then got another combiner the next stage, it'll still be whatever level you found it at, so you can just level that and it'll push the one you already leveled past that previous level 10. My GoLion is sitting at about 48 because I got one piece early on and did this method for about 5 levels.

Aside from that, there's always the tried and true method of save editing, with pic related. In this case, 10 would be the upgrade number, so in theory changing that should bump up the upgrades to whatever you desire. I haven't tested this theory indepth but it should work on the non-combiners. I only really bump up the Combiners because the opportunity is presented to me and I can't resist.

The bosses I got aren't too hard, only 3 are troublesome (Gilgilgan, the black Gilgazamune and Grand Master), but they're almost right next to eachother so that's annoying.

I think the max amount of secret bosses you can fight in a single run is 10, that's as many as they spawned that one time I got to 50F using cheats on hard.
Also got more money and RP than usual since I edited the parts' sale value so they're not worth shit and axed a whole bunch of upgrade requirements (no way I'm paying 370000 for Valz or something)

This scenario's great because if you get Sirbine then you can just sell it over and over again for SP Regen + W Up Units to go on the reals.

The Supers tend to want Haros (Daitarn and Dancouga) or Soul of Steels (Raideen, Daimos) instead. Mazinger/Great really like getting the HP/Armor and Linear Seat duo because they have the worst base HP out of the supers and terrible range/hit modifiers.
