Don't know why some people bash it so much, there is lot of more popular mecha shows that are more boring and more poorly executed than this one.

Can anyone upload a rip of Xenoglossia with official English subs? It's the only way to see translated specials. In addition, the fansub of the anime is so bad that I'll gladly accept any other translations of the episodes.

Because sci-fi nerds and wota tend to be very different groups, barring a fringe faction headed by Kawamori. I didn't get to see the twins in a Tempestas Repaired fucking shit up.

But ignoring the tacked-on franchise name it is otherwise a moderately decent action/drama that doesn't try to saddle you with feels baggage.

In another universe where its title was just Xenoglossia I'd imagine it was neck-for-neck with My-Hime as Sunrise's 2000s-era dosh-making franchises and perhaps beyond.

Would you really ejoy the series more if the characters had the same VAs? There is a character Otoya from Akuma no riddle who is voiced by the same seiyuu as im@s Hibiki and looks exastly the same (exept Otoya is paler than Hibiki)! Now imagine my reaction when I saw a character who looked and sounded exastly the same as one of my favourite im@s idols behaving like a crazy monster! Come to think of it Otoya would fit in the Xenoglossia universe perfectly as dark Hibiki because she is crazy. Even her name would make sense because there is already a character in the series named Hibiki!

There was a 'faithful' OVA done around the same time, using the game voice actors and all that. It was trash.

Imas didn't have the same profile at the time (and it's voice actors certainly didn't) and it's easy to forget the Nishigori/A1 anime was a HUGE labor of love to be as impressively made as it was.

Xenoglossia was fucking great for me because the main character isn't gay and embodies the spirit of /m/.
