Why don't we ever discuss power armors?
>>14930394
> Tekkaman threads
> Iron-Man threads
> General power armor threads (not generals)
We do. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they don't exist.
>>14930397
Also fairly regular Halo, Metroid Bubblegum Crisis and Active Raid threads - though that last one may prove seasonal, as did Tiger & Bunny. You could even count Macross threads occasionally, since there's some discussion of Queadlunn-Raus and such, and they're just macronized (ie. normal) Zentradi/Meltran power armor.
Heres something to get discussion going - how big can a power armor be before its considered a mech? Does the pilot need to have at least one set of limbs in the machines limbs to qualify as power armor?

I guess that as long as it's actually worn like a suit of armor, it counts.

Thats exactly what I was thinking of, the Hulkbuster. It seems right on the border of PA/mech territory
Battletech has some cool suits. Grenadier for one. Also I like the standard Clan Elemental and Salamander.

It's pretty firmly a mech, since even in hus Iron Man armor he's only sitting in the upper chest and there's no way the legs extend past the waist. The arms are unlikely to actually go in to the Hulk Busters arms either. He's controlling it through the armor in some fashion, but it's pretty definitely a mech given the positioning of the controller.

I've always despised these types of designs. It's obvious that the mech's arms and legs are not that of the pilot's unlike a true power suit. This can only mean that the pilot is actually just balled up like a fetus in the torso area because of the cramped cockpit.

The later IS suits were pretty sweet, particularly the Raiden and Cavalier. Oh, and the sweet battlearmor the WoB.

Jeeze, why are GW's are always shit at making toys.

They seem largely competent in making models but can't wrap their heads around the concept of licensing the SPACE MARINE designs to someone for an action figure. I'd buy one.

We do, just not your autistic power level chuuni tier 40k faggotry ones.

We will.
>>14936879
Yeah, seem they're competent at making midget marines with 25 years ol' design disco-clad power armor.
Doesn't need to tap action figures lines to be called 'toys' m8, they already making one, but its all musclefest shit.
And much other miniatures companies are already beat them at competency. They're down to 'meh' level right now. The only thing that save them is 2 those 25 years worth of IP and autistical neckbeards screaming "FOR DA EMPERER X))" in any given chances.

In fairness he's wearing a suit inside the suit.

Wearing Mk V Heresy-type Terminator armour, wielding dual lightning-claw/chainpalm gauntlets, while riding sharks. Fuck yes.
