I have my doubts, you said it yourself, there's months of nothing happening. I suppose Unicorn had empty episodes too so it's not like it rules it out. So far there haven't been any big battles though, only like 4 skirmishes.

Having thought about it some more, it's certainly possible. But it's a certainty that the Battle of Loum OVAs are coming, 2017 is near certainty.
