It wasn't, and it didn't look the same. It was the Toei version while the prototype was the manga version. You can tell because the Toei one has the ugly blue arms and legs

Tetsuya has had other upgrades though. Apparently he installed Grendizer's engine into Great in Devilman vs. Hades or something and of course, there was also Great Mazikaiser from the ZERO manga

Well, Shin Mazinger's still part of the game, as it was shown in the initial trailer (although it used attacks that were never used in Shin, like the Iron Cutter and the Drill Missile), which means they're probably going to merge the two plotlines. There is not a Mazinkaiser zero. "Shin Zero" is already the Mazinger upgrade and anyone who has read the manga knows that its power level is much higher than the canonical Mazinkaiser.

In terms of gameplay and attack power, it will still be the same as the classic Srw Mazinkaiser.
