Some may wish to keep their brains intact. Scientists in 2016 can now in fact trace a specific photon from one location to another under strict circumstances. One day this technology may be improved.

Would anyone be opposed to the idea of quantum teleportation? You could be safely cryogenically frozen and then we could send your quantum data to another location. The resultant you would have your original quantum signature. It would be your original body, atoms and electrons and anything else including photons and neutrinos that happened to be passing through you at the time. The fact that it is your original quantum signature means that the body that was reproduced was not made out of photons siphoned from the environment. Also not even a single quantum particle interacted with your body's quantum data in any way or else the quantum data would have been corrupted. It will be you at the quantum level, there will have been no break in continuity.

If we're giving that the level of technology is enough to read, record, and in some way continue the function of the brain on a digital level then it seems reasonable that there would be the ability to make a copy or manipulate it like any other data we could interact with.
