I love Getter but I think this is a very ill-advised idea. We do not need a general nor will that solve anything, all this will accomplish is create a single place the shitposting can easily target. This is not like other generals largely made as containments or in some instances so small groups of rather unpopular series can gather an talk, you are proposing a quarantine to get away from shitposting and generals really only work at containing shitposting. Getter is not flooding the board and it's those that shit on Getter that are the problem, a general really won't do anything.

I admire your good intentions, but this is not the way to solve this problem.

The thing is Getter isn't completely distanced, just there's a few very dedicated shitposters. The vast majority of /m/ are either ambivalent to Getter or like it, because Getter IS one of the pillars of Mecha as it created Gattai and has been cited by numerous creators as an influence.
