I'm an angry man, /m/. I want 4MB Webm files, and i want sound. How do we go about getting this changed?

Use /wsg/
Crosslink to /m/
Done.
/m/ as a board doesn't have any big reason to have WebMs with sound or the like. That's exactly why /wsg/ exists.
Nice quality animation there, switches from a beam rifle to spray gun from one shot to the next.

Yes, and?

/m/en seem either ignorant, or unwilling to use this feature. You can call it lazy, but the community would be better served if we were able to just post it here. /m/ isn't a big board, so we don't chew the bandwidth too hard as it is, and perhaps webm sound could be default off, with an option to set it to default on?

I'd expect it to be ignorance mostly, and laziness as opposed to unwillingness. IMO it'd be more trouble than it was worth to give such a small board such a capability- as a matter of fact that's exactly why I'd avoid giving the board that capability.
As a matter of fact, if you just straight-up post a /wsg/ link instead of crossboard linking, you get blue highlight text links. That's something to consider as opposed to regular crosslinking.

/m/ is lazy and not tech savvy.
I expect our data footprint (which isn't the same as bandwidth mind you) to skyrocket exponentially with audio webms.
Please, before you ask for audio, please master making good webm videos, some of you fucks have webms with artifacting and that's garbage.

Testan with some help from Gondola.

How do I make it so it shows up as a clickable picture on the left?
>>14867569
You don't. That would require uploading the WebM to /m/, which is impossible with sound. That is the essence of OP's complaint.
I just took a random Gondola WebM from /wsg/ to show how easy it can be to post WebMs with sound on boards not equipped for it.
