WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT
Am I supposed to believe that based Dessler got cucked by a nip? Fuck this nippon stronk sgut
>>14864092
>Dessler got cucked by a nip
What?
>>14864125
Probably referring toKodai's older brother Mamoru and Starsha's relationship, despite Desler professing his love for Starsha. Probably a troll post as Desler was a massive asshole and he probably only told Starsha that as part of some sociopathic plan. Even some of his closest supporters left him in the end. Honestly don't see what OP is complaining about.
I think there's honestly a lot more dire things to complain about 2199.
>the entire space sirens arc
>>14864139
>Probably a troll post as Desler was a massive asshole
Still based, and Dessler is an anti-hero. He's not a massive asshole, he only attacked earth because his homeworld was about to get rekt.
>and he probably only told Starsha that as part of some sociopathic plan.
He literally says that he loves her in episode 25
Still you're right, there's no much to complain about considering Mamoru, Starsha and their kid die, while Dessler is alive and being based, in fact he's the only one to survive from the entire cast.
>>14864191
>Still based, and Dessler is an anti-hero. He's not a massive asshole, he only attacked earth because his homeworld was about to get rekt.
That was the beauty of original Yamato. At the end, the war wasn't about right or wrong, but about survival. Dessler was one of the best antagonists there were.
In the new one he's a massive asshole.
>>14864092
>Dessler got cucked
DUH.
Pretty much deserved even if he was a cool antagonist/anti-hero with more anti in it and with a lot of well-intentioned plans here and there. Also he post-mortem promoted those guys from his army that were the Yamato's first "adversaries" (AKA: dudes that were just doing their job as soldiers) by two ranks and made their families fullblown citizens so that's a plus.
But still an asshole for many reasons. Crowning one was trying to blow up his own capital on his own homeworld. And don't get me started on shooting his psychic space elf because she suddenly sent positive psychic waves that caused him to freak out and shoot.
The new one that is. The original was much less.
>>14864092
Uchuu Senkan Yamato is full of nippon stronk anon, i wonder how you can watch the show if you can't ignore it. Leiji is a huge nationalist and you can feel it in most of his works.
>>14864831
>And don't get me started on shooting his psychic space elf because she suddenly sent positive psychic waves that caused him to freak out and shoot.
That's not how it works.
She invades his mind, so of course he thinks it's an attack.
Is the remake as good as the original?
>>14866292
No. If Dessler being a cuck is a thing thinks making it better.
>>14866318
Well it was like that in the original, only it was never implied that Desler loved Starsha until the 3rd movie
Reminder that Yamamoto will die in the upcoming new series
>>14864191
poor Desler
>>14866292
Its better.
>>14869556
Barbarians. Best line.
>>14866318
>Dessler
a best cuck
>>14866292
I think some characters(like Dessler) get the short line of the stick, when in the original he was probably the best character in the entire series, they dumbed him down in here a bit.
Though if they make his redemption arc good then that should fix some issues, but I don't think a character so iconic like Dessler deserved to have his screentime cut.
>>14866245
Did she?
Because it didn't look like it.
>>14866292
It stays very close to the original at points, but changes a lot of stuff at others.
It does eliminate some of the flaws of the original, like eliminating some out of place standalone episodes and bridging better other events. However, although it adds more personality to the secondary cast, the changes to the main cast are often divisive (like making Kodai have less of an attitude and making Dessler more "evil" for no reason, even though they also oddly attempt to make the beginning of the war humanity's fault partially, unlike in the original).
>>14864752
What about half of the Yamato crew deciding to stay at Iscandar and gang rape Yuki? They were right or wrong?
>>14876027
>>14876027
>gang rape Yuki
What?
>>14876651
They wanted her to be their new Eve. with the obvious implications of what that means. Obviously, she's rescued before they do anything.
>>14876027
>What about half of the Yamato crew deciding to stay at Iscandar and gang rape Yuki? They were right or wrong?
>>14876651
That is a thing that happens in the original Yamato. A bunch of the crew mutiny and want to give up on saving Earth, and kidnap Yuki to be their 'Eve' to restart humanity on a new world.
>>14876027
My mind says no but my dick says yes.
>>14876691
>rape
>the 2199 cast has more girls than before
>Fukui doing the upcoming season
Oh boy howdy is this going to be a ride.
>>14876738
>>14866292
The animation quality is far superior.
The girls are cuter.
>>14876879
>tfw Yamamoto doesn't get killed but gang raped instead.
>>14876879
Maybe we can just let him write about the Yamato itself getting raped by a space monster or something, that would be enough for him right
BTW...did they ever court-martialed the asshole that ordered the human fleet to shoot first and not ask questions?
>>14882805
It never comes up again, I guess we're just meant to assume he died with most of the other people on Earth?
>>14883168
Drats.
The bastard got away.
>>14883177
The alternative is that he got 'disappeared' since they engaged in a full cover up of what happened, that is still intact 8 years later
>>14883185
>'disappeared'
As in Soviet style? Acceptable.
>>14864125
>>14864139
Didn'tKodai and Starsha end up together in the original series anyways? I remember a line about them being a new Adam and Eve in the old anime.
>>14883198
Yeah in the original Mamoru didn't die, he survived and remained with Starsha and they had a half-human half-Iscadaran daughter together.
>>14883198
>>14883211
They all died though, even the daughter
>>14883223
Yeah, but that was a lot later. The second last movie I think it was?
>>14880567
>>14876027
>>14883223
They don't die in the PS2 game continuity.
Starsha doesn't safe destruct Iscandar as Kodai and Dessler used a black hole machine to immobilise the giant fortress thing and steered the Yamato to the fortress's weak spot and blast it with the wave motion gun. Starsha still sends Mamoru and Sasha away to Earth as Iscandar is too unstable to live on.
Mamoru becomes captain of the Yamato during the war against the Dark Nebula Empire, He doesn't die a pitiful death like in the anime movie
Sasha doesn't have to die depending on the game choices made. Her sacrifice in the TV series could be replaced with sacrificing the automated Yukikaze destroyer instead.
Later on, Mamoru and Sasha return to Iscandar after the war ends.
>>14891368
*self destruct
>>14891368
bullshit
