The main problem is that there just aren't that many. The only notable /m/ novels I can think of are just the usual science fiction classics and some powered armor stuff. Honestly speaking, your only real option might be looking into stuff like LNs, which I know most all literature buffs have a strong hatred toward, but it's slim pickings.

I'm not sure about good mech books specifically (you could try the Battletech novels) but for space warfare, things like Starship Troopers, the Forever War, Armor, the Honor Harrington series, and Bolo might be good places to start.
