Ishikawa pumped out a shitton of Star Wars and Golden Age-esque scifi manga in the 80s. Kyomu Senki I think originally got its start as a Majuu Sensen sequel pitch, only it got set in space and the main character's an angry esper cyborg instead of an angry mutant.
