OVA on the other hand was quite happier in tone though.
Too bad those mech designs wasn't animated adequately.

I liked the series, but there there was snowball's chance in hell for him to get anything but the old Yamato Takeru end from the very start.

I actually have the first 2 volumes of the Grey manga in comic book form, from back in the dark ages of Japanimation. The story's pretty interesting but the art is sparse to say the least
