So my fucking cousin is asking for an anime who saw in 95 or so about a purple mecha in the desert and the hero was some kind of space cowboy, can you help us our, I've been looking a lot but I can't remember anything like that...pic unrelated

if you said blue I would have said Xabungle.

sure it wasn't 05? Gun Sword comes up in google results. Have you checked Super Robot Wars openings? Got a decade style? Was it a monster of the week show? What country did your cousin watch it in? Is he sure it was purple and not blue?

More questions worth bringing up: Did the robot us any weapons? Did it transform or was a combination of other machines? Did it fly? Can you describe the cockpit (if any)? Can your cousin do an MS paint of some visual ref(s)?

Thanks man but no
>>14842048
pretty sure it was back in 95 we had like 8 years old, yes I checked Super Robot Wars, it was like Robotech style, no it wasn't a monster, in US, yes he's pretty sure it was purple but it could be wrong
>>14842058
Yes they use weapons, no there was no combinations but he's not pretty sure about the transformation, yes it flies, coming on the MS paint, hold on

There you go
Shooting in the dark
Southern Cross?

First thing that come to mind is that maybe it's a really vaguely remembered Invid?
Just tossing things out there, I assume it's not the 1988 Appleseed.
Space cowboy, hmm.
Southcross has a lot of desert battles, a pink mecha ( but it was an antagonist) and a lot of robots that change form and it's pretty old. In the West it was eaten in the Robotech thing... but I do not remember space cowboy.
Maybe "Saber Riders" Bismark? Space cowboy, a lot of desert battles too, but I do not remember a pink mecha.

Anyways, i miss so much the aesthetics of the 90's.

So we got a mecha series in a desert, features space and a cowboy, is likely a real robot, is from the 80s or 90s, at least one mecha transforms, and it was unlikely to be in SRW.
Well it isn't Dougram
OP check this chart, if your mystery mecha isn't here it'll sure as fuck narrow it down

alternate. If you see it just circle it in red in MS paint.
