They actually have the server files, and actually tried to start a SDGO private server last year (nobody on 4chan posted about it).

The person in possession works for 9you (the chinese publisher of SDGO). He is a worker there, and took the server files after it shut down in China. However, rumor goes that everything was set to launch Dec 2015 for a private SDGO server, but one of his 9you bosses found out, and threatened to fire him if he launched the server as it would be competition against their company. Since he didn't want to lose his job, he pulled the server last minute.

If I were you, I would find someone very fluent in reading Chinese, and read through the forum to find his contact info. I wouldn't want to get the guy fired.

The server files exist. Remember a chinese private server almost launched. BUT Crix and Omega led us on for a while thinking they had something. Otherwise, we have to get it from the Chinese contacts. And if you get it from the Chinese it would be a ton of extra work because we would have to re-translate all the units from scratch again to English. If the North American files were available, then we could save a ton of time and translation of all the units.

But there is the possibility of reaching out to some Chinese contacts who definitely have the Chinese SDGO server files.

We just started today with the Chinese contacts.

Why has it taken so long? Because former North American SDGO players Crix and OmegaSwordEX claimed to have the North American server files and scammed a bunch of players out of money for "donations to start the private server" for months. After nothing materialized, some OGP players were upset and came to /m/ creating SDGO threads demanding their money back. Crix and OmegaSwordEX came into the thread laughing and posting stuff they bought with the donations. However, interest was still so high in SDGO that they even received a private offer of $2000 american dollars for the server files. After weeks of pressing them for information, they eventually confessed up that they never had the server files to begin with.

found the forum where some users have the server files for the Chinese SDGO Server. This anon told former SDGO player GONDOM (who has chinese speaking and reading-capable friends). Gondom wants to reach out to find out more. Gondom also wants to finance the the private server.

It's been very slow going. And Crix and OmegaSwordEX scamming the SDGO community out of money slowed everything down a lot. But hopefully things will pick up soon with Gondom's and that Helpful Anon's assistance.

Hello All,

Didn't realize you guys had a private server in the works. So here's my question to you guys. How will you handle the cost of capsules in the game? Are you guys going to follow exactly what OGP did with capsules going as high as 16000 per roll? Or are you going to make everything cheap and rely on player donations to keep the server going? How will you balance between the two? I mean if something is too easy then it will be boring right? everyone running around in SS and SR units on the first day of release.
