Ive seen private servers for other games that have been dead for years come up recently, like Battlefield 2142 and even some Vanilla Wow servers. I find it hard to believe that with how many people played this game and with the Sequel already dead that no one is working on making a private server

SDGN were never meant to "just make another SDGO with newer engine".

As most Koreans devs at the time, the fad is all about dungeon based PvE, so that's what they're trying to make. Just that with probably PvP added on later, which is why the gameplay (controls, etc.) is different.
Beta hits, and the number 1 complaints on the forum is that why is it not SDGO. So there you go.

Also regarding opening up SDGO private server, it'd be easier creating the game from scratch with Unity or something at this rate. You won't get anything by just reverse-engineering the client, moreso just the installation file. That's not how MMOs work.

Not him but I feel that SDGO was pretty fair a lot of the times but other times it was really cheap to F2P players. I don't mind paid players getting units 1 or 2 months ahead of paid players. I don't mind having to buy hangars. What I did mind was the shit payout for points. Some capsules cost 14k points and that's essentially what you got for doing dailies paired with after match money. That's too much. A days work shouldn't be one roll of an expensive capsule that may have AR ranks in it that take forever to roll. AR ranks as a whole were too hard to roll.
I only got AR S Gundam because they put it in an item capsule towards the end
Never got AR Exia so I couldn't make Qant. Got over a dozen 0 Gundams from that capsule though.

Here's the truth is guys: Crix and Omega *did* help ripoff fellow players. Crix thought it was funny that people would donate and egged on random new players in IRC chat during the final days of SDGO. These players came from the ogp sdgo forum because they heard 4chan had a private sdgo server going up. We even had mods coming in asking if it was true. Most of us left well enough alone, and didnt participate or were afk when it was happening. But Crix thought it was funny and encouraged this random influx of new players to donate to a randomly set up new account. (I got no idea how they set up that stuff up). Crix did it for the lulz essentially. He does a lot of stupid shit and complains a lot so it's not surprising Crix himself doesn't remember something that happened over a year ago.

Problem is, several months later people started complaining in other gundam threads like msgo, ucgo, etc that Crix and Omega ripped them off in sdgo and to avoid him. Crix tried to brush it off as a "meme" (dunno what he was thinking), but some korean boards even mentioned Crix as a player to avoid. Crix is now secretly freaking out because he doesn't actually remember or not if he was involved since he says and does a lot of shit. It's already affecting his reputation so its not surprising some of his friends are coming in trying to defend him (Crix probably asked them to). If anyone's logs even go that far back (over a year) you'll probably Crix egging fellow players in irc chat to donate when they walked in asking about the private server. I was there only a few times he did it, and I have since changed computers since then (so no logs), but that's essentially what happened.

Now regarding the server files. I know the chinese have them, so if anyone wants to go that route be my guest. Im not sure if Omega actually has anything. He Might have the animation files of a few units, but those were available online before because of the chinese.
