If Domon and Rain's relationship is based in racial purity, why would Rain have a western appearance? All the male Asian characters have a strong Asian appearance, and practically ALL female characters have a strong western appearance.

I get that it's an anime and the creators of anime typically use western features (large eyes, pale skin, non-black hair) to make their female characters more attractive. But it would follow that they'd make her more Asian in appearance if they cared about race-mixing.
