It's probably either that the thing has hundreds of pre-recorded jokes stored inside that you activate through certain combinations or (more likely) that it's basically some sort of robot-version of Cards against Humanity where each screw represents a part of a joke that you combine into ridiculous nonsense.

I watched the first episode and I don't know what to think. I'm not particularly fond of the fart jokes and a good deal of the neji puns are probably lost on me. Should I give it a second chance?

Episode 3 was actually somewhat good.
It had a plot, an attempt to make joke that aren't always full random, and characters that had some presence.
Maybe this might go somewhere afterall.
