I liked the 1st season, 7/10, although I waited for it to finish and watched it in a couple of days. Might have felt boring if I had to wait a week for a new episode. I don't think I'll do the same with the 2nd season though.

I hope they go with a Scarface style of narrative and Tekkadan gets progressively fucked/weaker as time/missions go on after reaching the top, although I don't think the storyline will go that way but hey, fuck it, as long as there are more deaths and fights I think it will be alright.

How could Ein be still alive when Mikazuki pierced his cockpit and probably shutting down his life support. Plus the fact that he was taken down by Barbatos means that they still probably inspected the suit after the fight. Gali-gali surviving as the new char clone makes more sense since he fought the Grimgerde alone giving him enough time to escape before someone sees his suit's carcass.

Yeah I actually quite liked the episode. Going from some of the clips from the OP at the end and the actual episode, there's looking to be some Gjallarhorn infighting with McGillis, Lord Elion (Arianrodr Fleet guy), the black guy, Julieta and possibly Masked Gaelio.
Now at first I thought the reliable or dependable guy McGillis referred to would be Tekkadan, and that he's going to try and use them as chess pieces again to get rid of his Gjallarhorn opponents, but it could very well be a mind-broken Gaelio as well.

It really puts what happened in season 1 into perspective, doesn't it. People kept going on about how the show portrayed the horrors of war with child soldiers, yet what happened in the show made people more enthusiastic about using child soldiers. Their effectiveness completely undercut the first season's supposed underdog angle, Gjallarhorn's weakened state has caused more conflicts to start popping up, and Kudelia's simple half-metal deal ended up having far larger consequences.

Here's hoping season 2 actually knows what it's doing.

First ep was pretty alright. Hopefully it doesn't end up slowing to as bad a crawl as the first season's middle.
