The German words would be "Bundeswehr" or "Foderation Army" or "Foderation Heer" or something similar. I think we can safely rule out German from the rest of it too.

I think people are jumping the gun over language and accents and making broad brushed statements that those represent a majority of the people in their respective forces. Based on the locale and and the Gundam props were all already made before hand. I'm going to take a stab as say that this was produced as cheaply as possible, meaning if it didn't already exist already, they weren't going pay to have it built.

It really depends on how 'realistic' they look. The standard clean models look way off, but if you add environmental wear and other parts that make it look like a machine of war that has to be maintained and used like any other weapon, it doesn't look that off.
