I like friendly secondaries, but imo they still need to be opposed to the MC in some way (eg Beast being nice but needing Phantoms to live when Haruto wanted to eliminate all of them) otherwise they're kinda pointless.

It's a shame. I'm normally a sentaifag, but I was fucking sold on Ghost's motif. I went all in on the Eyecons, which I've never done will a toku toyline. By the end of the show, I was filled with regret. The Eyecons are still neat, but completion is the only motivation I have to finish buying them.

So I just finished reading the Black manga yesterday after reading the Kamen Rider manga last week. The other Kamen Rider manga thread is just some faggot baiting toku fans so I'm gonna ask here instead, sorry for the million questions:
What the fuck was that ending?
Is it just me or are the action scenes not as good and harder to follow compared to some of Ishinomori's other manga?
And what is the relationship between his manga and his tokusatsu shows? Considering that the manga had Hayato as Kamen Rider 2, was he forced to write him into the manga because of the show? Did he have any input on the show other the general concept or was all of it written by Toei?

Kamen Rider was created when Toei approached Ishinomori. Initially, he wanted to do something closer to a live-action Skullman, harkening back to the 50s-era toku which was a bit more mature and generally violent, with fuckers like Moonlight Mask who shot people to death. Kamen Rider Gattack, a man who joined the force after a year of battling alongside and against the secret ZECT organisation. This man believes in the system and will follow the rules until the rules unless he's convinced there's malicious intent behind them (or just slapped by Tendou). When he henshins his demeanor becomes much more serious and he can take down near any enemy after he clocks up!

The eternal prodigy who strives everyday to prove his worth vs. the master fighter who needs to learn to be more humble. Both are naive in two different respects, one is too trusting while the other is quick to anger.
