Tell me /m/ do you consider getter more of a nagai creation or an ishikawa creation?
IIRC the only thing Nagai did is tell Ishikawa to make the get machines planes because he wanted to make them cars and that looked silly

It's 90% Ishikawa. No question about it.
You posted a picture of Getter Robo Armageddon. Do you see any references to other Go Nagai series in it? Nope.
The invaders, Cohen, Stinger etc, they all come from other Ken Ishikawa mangas. Even the staff who produced the ovas know who is behind Getter Robo.

Ishikawa. It really pisses me off when people credits Nagai for Getter Robo.

Combining cars are cool.

More like 95%. Nagai made some major contributions to the origin of Getter, but it would have been a very, very different series if Nagai had more of a hand in it. I think it would have been left to obscurity if it had been just another Nagai mecha series.

That would actually be true. His take on Getter Robo like that Devilman crossover for example make it felt like Getter was just another one of his typical mecha series.
