It looks beautiful, and despite what some people will tell you it actually does have two tones of red.

It is also extraordinarily flimsy, parts will pop off all the time if you don't glue them on. In fact it's kind of incredible how much they mangled the RG mkII's frame to get the Sinanju to fit on it. Like there's shitty little extenders to make the limbs longer, the mkII's shoulders joints got repurposed into thrusters, etc.

Balance-wise, it probably wouldn't surprise you that the huge ass shield is an issue. More annoying is the waist: it relies on an entirely too small peg, and on top of that there's all sorts of torso articulation so it's super unstable as is. Throw on the huge backpack thrusters and the way the waist is seemingly purposefully designed to stress that joint and RIP.

Accessory-wise, it comes with about what you'd expect, but there is a real lacking in fixed pose hands. Like it's budget HG level "you get these gripping hands and one open hand that is it". The P-Bandai accessory pack adds more hands so it's pretty clear this was on purpose.

Posability-wise, it's one of those "this is technically capable of excellent articulation but practically can not because its weapons are too unwieldy and things keep popping off". It can stand there just fine in the Katoki boxart pose though, so that's something.

All in all, if you decide to get this thing get ready for a project. You can technically build the thing without glue or some sort of stability-boosting mod, but you really, really shouldn't.

tl;dr RG Sinanju is why frame reuse is a bad idea.

Kit is pretty to look at but be prepared to pose it once, and leave it like that. Parts pop off at a moments notice.
Apparently the glossy plastic is weaker than the regular too.

The planning of the expansion pack is quite suspect indeed. You get two pairs of closed fists and no hand covers, even though there is a red runner in the box. You have to take it from the other hands on the base kit. Also for whatever reason you get a extra head piece and not one but two figures.

Another weird thing is that the scope on the bazookas and rifle are not molded in clear green but are added through stickers. It's weird since pretty much every RG I've built has had clear lenses for the scopes. They clearly cheaped out in other areas and hoped people get distracted by the gold.

So, HG Sinanju is still the best Sinanju overall? Or is it the MG? I've heard the MG has a bad waist peg.

It depends on your priorities. HG Sinanju is the most stable and the cheapest. MG Sinanju has the best engineering and is the largest. RG Sinanju looks the best and doesn't require any painting.

Any half decent builder can just address whatever issues each one has, so it comes down to what's important to you.

Frame reuse is a good idea provided the suits are not vastly different like the MkII to the Sinanju.
They could've used the RX78 frame for GMs or the Zaku frame for Goufs.
The MkII frame would've been better suited for similarly built suits such as the Ground Type or Ez8.
