Can we have a texas mack thread?
It's pretty amusing that the one-episode bot and characters got quite some love over the years while those two fucknuggets and their heap of junk that appeared in like half of the episodes are all but forgotten.
SRC when

What am I even looking at
>>14746376
Toei's laziest attempt at cashing in on Boss and his Borot/gang's popularity (especially since Musashi was already a Boss analogue, so this was unnecessary).
>>14746238
Blame SRW, I think. It had him in 2, and then his character was just in fucking everything.
>>14746662
There's no need to blame anyone, giant cowboy robots are awesome and even the Japanese understand that.
>only Mackendise is an old vinyl kit and an absurdly expensive fixed pose resin kit
>>14746798
I could see Evolution Toy making one for their Dynamite Action line but the problem would be that, well, it'd be a Dynamite Action figure which means questionable quality at a horrendous price.
>>14746238
yeah they barely even show up on futaba
>>14746662
Gargantua was another one episode alternate hero super robot that appeared in SRW.
It even got an enhanced version which was painted blue and renamed to Pantagruel.

did Dynamic ever do anything with Gargantua and Patagruel? Seems like their adventures would be right up Go's alley.
Is the old Texas Mack in the first Getter show or G? Or both?
>>14749027
He's in the first show definitely, but sinceI actually haven't watched any getter shows I don't know.
>>14749011
Don't forget the Getter only srw-like game.

>>14749027
Just episode 21 of the original series.
>>14749022
Nope. Furthermore, the thing is Combattler is largely a Toei/Sunrise joint production, so Dynamic/Nagai was never involved with it.
There needs to be a fanSRW where Texas Mack, Gundam Maxter and Metal Wolf have a combination attack.
>>14749659
>that GUNDAM meme reference
>>14747280
Does anyone have a screenshot of 'Pantagruel'?

Stilva Superior. I'll agree on the face part, though, the faceplates on the MP versions were better.
>>14753156
Whatever Schwartz, why don't you go back to building that wall across the pacific.
>>14753156
>Outdoes the Getter
It outdoes a heavily damaged midget knockoff Getter.
When the real Getter Robo shows up, it singlehandedly outdoes every other robot on the planet then fucks off to Mars.
What is the deal with Neo Mack's horse?
It doesn't look like a robot but instead an actual horse creature, is it some sort of artifical lifeform or cyborg created by the Americans?
>>14750549
SRW3 is the only game with Gargantua and Pantagruel. They're exactly the same graphic, just different colors, because SNES.
AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO WASHINGTON DC TO TAKE BACK THE WHITE HOUSE
BYAAAAAH
>>14753951
Also the Pantagruel has improved stats and more attacks too?
>>14754000
Of course, just like any palette swap in an RPG.
>>14752744
Oh. Nah, I don't think they ever did do that, otherwise it would have been brought up here.

>>14754377
Gargantua was from an episode of Combattler V, where it was about as effective as Aphrodite A
>>14754453
>>14754453
To be fair it wasn't finished, that was a major part of the plot, its only has limited super weapon armaments when seen on screen.
IS KORE THE HIGH POWER SURE DESUKA?!
>>14753938
its piloted by a dog IIRC
>>14755743
Dogs piloting super robots?
>>14749986
>>14752751
What would a mech team that was comprised entirely of machines that were either constructed by the Americans or that operated specifically in America by Americans be made up of?
I mean offhand-
Metal Wolf - Piloted by President Michael Wilson - CiC
Texas Mack - Jack and Mary King
Gundam Maxter - Chibodee Crocket
MEGAS - Coop and friends
Stilva - Schwartz Koff and John Lambert
Gipsy Danger - Raleigh Becket & Mako Mori
Any more you want to add?
>>14746217
No, it would have too much high power.
>>14756231

What did their heap of junk boss borot-knockoff look like? Is that it to the left? Had assumed that to be a villain machine
>>14763136
yeah that's him
he's weird and garish
>>14756231
>>14755743
>Dog pilots
More likely than you think
https://youtu.be/-UxeNWIHKvA?t=59s
>>14746662
Had him in the first GB, didn't they? If anything, having him around is just tradition at this point.
>>14763587
It was, but 1 was weird. It had no Boss Borot and IIRC it had something from 0080 (or was it 0083?) two games before that actually debuted. 2 had Texas Mack involved in the plot and its pilots were there, so he showed up in the other Classics too because of that, and thus became more well known.
>>14763236
PlaMoKyo had a dog pilot too
>>14756231
You just had to post that shot, didn't you?
>>14746238
Just watched episode 23. How annoying are these fucks going to be? Are they very prominent on the anime?
>>14764463
It was the first thing that came to mind when dog pilots were mentioned.
>>14763587
SRW1 needed some sidekicks for Getter, and Lady Command isn't a "robot", so they used Texas Mack and Getter Q (which was an *enemy* robot in the show).
Also, SRW1 didn't have any concept of pilots (or plot, really) so it had things like Aphrodite A and Diana A side by side, original Getter and Getter G side by side, and a stage with five enemy Sazabis that all say Char lines in combat.
Pretty sure it didn't have any units from 0080 or 0083. Only 0079, Zeta, ZZ, CCA and F91.
