Total Biscuit came up with a good concept that fits this, desperation genre. Basically a genre or thing about a game a group wants so bad but rarely if ever gets made, e.g. space sims. This means that group may put a lot of money into it, hype it up, shill it hard etc out of desperation for it.

Mech games would be a good fit for this. We have got fuck all in the past few years and big names that were pretty regular before have been fading for a very long time. Thus a project like this really gets to that base, enough that the average is $100 per backer

I remember back when North American SDGO had their ill-fated user-designed sticker contest. Okay /m/, I tried a redesign despite my absolutely horrible MS paint skills. I went with the Obari face with gundam chin, Mazinger fin (did a hybrid of Great Mazinger and Double X Gundam), put in the Shadow Moon colored RX King Stone, did the triple spike variation of the zaku shoulder, did a Last Red Shoulder colored shoulder, colored the elbows and knees gold and silver 'cause BLAM freedom and UNLIMITED justice, a color timer and light lamp found in showa Ultraman series, and added a pair of bloody slashes on the torso M. The sideburns should not be that big.

It seems like you have unlimited ammo, but have reload times. Like note when CrimsonFlame fires off his Rocketpunch. It says he has one shot, then it reloads and he still has one shot.

So your toaster weapon will be a two-shot weapon, you either launch one at time, or both with a single shot. It might also be you can choose which. Press X to fire one toast missile. Press and hold X to fire two. It then reloads and you have two shots.

It fires two toasts. Then the toaster itself can be used like a time bomb, wherein it refills. So it has three shots total.

Ask them to demonstrate the full-uniform of the generic member of the faction, helmet included

Ask them for small alterations below the level of a proper ace custom uniform to change them into a grunt m-tan (no face details seen through the hel,et apart from being able to barely see the eyes). Gently note that this will be a boon to an entire community of players who will love their game.

Might need to change faction, the nebulous 'mercenaries' sound like it will be less strict in regards to appearance.

Clearly, what you have to do is have the camera zoomed in for the mech launch sequence, and it zooms out once you gain control of the mech. Best of both worlds - you get to see a nice closeup of the mech, and you get the zoomed out view that's required by the gameplay.

I pledged the game yesterday after seeing this thread lying around. Let's hope they deliver - I have very low expectations of Chinks (I am one myself) especially that accent but they seem like a bunch of passionate folks who know their shit.
