Mecha be a decaying husk of an anime story element, but shows like this prove that there's still some life in the Emperor's corpse even still. I can't help but smile at almost every single scene, and I don't even think much of Mazinger otherwise.

I adore Armageddon, and I think people who find it confusing after watching the whole thing are retarded.

New Getter Robo. Original Gundam and Mellowlink are close seconds though, and Legend of Galactic Heroes might replace Getter Robo for my favorite once I finish it.
(Just finished Episode 50 yesterday and watch 2 episodes every weekday, taking a break on the weekends.)

G-Gundam.

For one, it has the most realistic way to pilot a MS. It had some seriously "epic" moments, the music was cool. Plus I mean it was my first gundam so theres that bias.

Uhhh. Allenby? And uhhh, Chibodee. They're cool too. Chibodee had all the cuties and was American hero. What about Tequila Gundam or the Hurricane Gundam? They're just so stupid it's awesome. Sometimes I think people area bit too hard on the series though but thats to be expected.

The whole story was shonen and junk but it was still good! We got giant robots and fighting, and there was some intrigue. Rain was hot, and the love story between her and Doman was really cute for me growing up. I really liked it :3

Gunbuster

Solid, moving plot, great characters, animation was great, beautiful soundtrack, it's not longer or shorter than it needs to be, and you can watch it in an afternoon

Ma Nigga
Gunbuster is a masterpiece in my eyes. Noriko's character development to become like her father, taking scenes from Getter robo G and elevating them to truly epic levels and all the things you mentioned make me love this OVA so much.


You couldn't take away an episode of Gunbuster because they're all super essential (unlike diebuster where you could get rid of episode 3)
If I had to complain about something then I would complain about certain things just not told like what happened to Noriko's mom

Victory is my favorite gundam at the moment.
