It bothers me that people remember Master Asia's death so much more than Schwarz Bruder's and Kyoji's.

Master Asia was just this comically awesome, over-the-top teacher who did evil things for a generically good cause, like so many Gundam villains. Schwarz Bruder's end was more complex, it gave me so many conflicting feelings. Mostly because I just figured he was Kyoji, and then I learn that Kyoji really is that mere puppet in the Devil Gundam, and Schwarz was once his own man who had no relation to the Kasshu family, his will overwritten by Kyoji in a sympathetic act of desperation.

There's a chapter of The Origin that takes place on the day Char is born, with Ramba Ral's crew and the Zabis working together to hide Zeon Daikun and his wife from Federation soldiers. Kycillia and Crowley were just kids, Ramba/Sasro/Ghiren were Serbian-style gunmen in street clothes, Dozle was in a gang, Degwin was a professor, and Zeon was just a worried dad. They all loved each other and worked together as a team, and it was kind of tough reading that after going through 10 years of a comic where they scheme and backstab each other until to death.

Not that I was sad, but even with 0079's shitty quality the final battle at A Baoa Qu was really fucking intense. The White Base sustains extensive damage and even lands on the base where things get to the point where all hands have to grab a gun and leave the ship, even when the battle is won there's still the matter of escaping from the base in one piece.

Setting the Gundam to auto pilot to it's death was also a hell of a scene.
