What do / m/ think of Hakaider ? Do you like his way of Justice and love ?
I am really surprised that they never
create more follow up stories of this
Hakaider, consider how cool and badass he is in the movie.
Best quote in the movie
"If you are justice, than I am evil"

The Hakaider movie was pretty bad and has nothing to do with Kikaider as a whole, but it has a certain cheesy charm to it and it's directed by a young Keita Amemiya, so I can't hate it.

I hope you realize that Hakaider was a villain and originates from Kikaider.

I know that, but I am talking 90's hero Hakaider. I just can't fi

It bugged me that the final boss had literally nothing to do with Kikaider, it just suddenly takes on his colors for no explicable reason.
90s movie Hakaider/SIC Hakaider is the best design.
The original Hakaider has -not- aged well. The Reboot design is a pretty good modernization, but there's something about the movie/SIC design that gets me.
It's one of my favorite toku things actually.
It's basically the M.D. geist of toku, where it's all about showing off bad ass scenes for an hour

It's the level of grit it has. I was really let down by the movie but dammit every design had a feeling of danger and viciousness to it and you have to respect that.
Ive been meaning to check out Reboot. Is it good? I thought I read something about it coming over to the USA

They did and design that means for symbolism and irony. Mikhail "is" Kikaider in this world, only he is corrupted and have corrupted idea of justice and heart .
He is in some way appears to be more "humen" than Hakaider, like his internal are red and more biology like and is show to have more emotion reaction and pain reaction than Hakaider. But the irony and truth is that he is actually not as human as Hakaider because he doesn't respecte or doesn't have free well and follow blindly of his twisted justice and faith.
Is like what Hakaider said in the film, if what he did and believe is considered to be justice to him or even this world, then he will be the "evil "that fight that" justice"

It's not great. The fights are alright, but the rest of the movie is the same cliche boring Japanese drama shit.

I think the idea is that Mikhail was the potential result of a Kikaider with a complete conscience circuit. He's "good," but to a fault, which warps his sense of justice into a blind devotion to order and sterility. Kikaider's incomplete circuit allowed him to both possess and appreciate free will and the inherent flawed nature of being human.

However, that defeats the whole purpose of Kikaider's design. Mikhail is complete and pure, so why would he (for no reason) transform into a design that's all about duality and imperfection?
I still think it's just there so that they could have Hakaider fight Kikaider, because they felt like they had to do it even if it wasn't at all plot relevant.

I'm pretty sure Mechanical Violator Hakaider was made in the wake of some dudes having watched Terminator 2.
Anyways it got a video game so there's that

What about Hakaider in the movie, what does he represent ? Is his believe and action conceider to be a hero or just anti villain
>>14715391
That's fair. The Franken-Kikaider form doesn't really serve a narrative purpose other than "Hakaider vs Kikaider." I'd argue that it still applies to Mikhail for the rest of the movie though.

Hakaider's your general 90s anti-hero that fights the establishment, hence the line about "if [Mikhail] is justice, then [Hakaider] is evil." Does it fit with Hakaider's normal portrayal? No, but Hakaider ends up via convenient maybe-amnesia going through the same exploration of "what doth humanity" that would normally belong to Kikaider. Hakaider represents freedom and rebellion against an oppressive regime, plain and simple.
Maybe I'm just looking too far into a toku movie.
