Please stop this unfunny meme. Garzey's Wing has perhaps Tomino's most simple story. You'll probably get bored if you watch it expecting lots of crazy dumb shit because it isn't there. Seriously, everything people meme about is from the first 5 minutes.

I would suggest watching Zambot if you like 70's mecha anime, Dunbine, L-Gaim, and Gainer.

Dunbine has the same problem Zeta has with pacing so be warned.

Brain Powerd is fantastic, the most thematically pure Tomino work as well. King Gainer is pretty great though it needed a 3rd cour to fit in all of Tomino's ideas. The Ideon TV series is pretty boring, but the second movie is amazing. L-Gaim was too boring for me to finish, and Dunbine was really good but lost steam at the end and I didn't finish it.

I thought Dunbine flows a lot better than Zeta, where people just die off to prove a point. The conflicts are so legendary that nobody really proves the point without dying sacrificially at the ending. Haven't watched it in a year though.

No.Zeta's pacing was much faster than Dunbine's. Zeta Get a bit slow once Kamille meets Four again. And even then, It's still better/faster than Dunbine's.

I fell for this meme once. Garzey's Wing is massively overrated in its reputation of being "so bad it's good" it's just bad, plain bad and kinda boring.

They're mostly good to great.

Xabungle,Dunbine,Ideon and king gainer I find to be the high lights.

L gaim and Brain powerd are very good too.

Zambot 3 is pretty good, but it's not that hugely memorable outside of the plot and mecha for me.
Daitarn 3 is decent, kinda too long for what it is but the ending is excellent
