Different artist interpretations? I judge the official lineart as the canon design since thats what appeared in the series.

thats a pretty standard reactor output for a grunt of that era, especially the basic GM-IIIs that were just upgrades of GM-IIs. Jegans used the same 1870kw generator for years and years after the GM-III was made, even when there were other mass produced MS like the Doven Wolf/Silver Bullet running around with 5000+kw reactors.
