There were a few characters I really wanted to use in 2 but couldn't due to lack of space.

Cheat Engine works fine for FMW1, but for 2 and 3 you need to have it started up before opening the game or else the game will flip you off.

2 and 3 have further checks to make sure you don't have more WP than you should, but other than that you can hack as much money or PP as you want.

If you can't enjoy a SRW game without infinite resources though, I'm not really sure why you'd even want to play FMW. Half the fun is playing a SRW game that's so different.

Yeah, I don't understand why it doesn't have barrier pierce. Makes no sense at all. OGMD has a lot of finishers without barrier pierce, come to think of it. Oddly, Aqua's side of Cerberus has no piercing weapons, and Aqua's Garmraid has pierce on its second-best weapon, not the finisher.

Brand New Wind is pretty good, but I found myself switching her back to her enemy theme. It's just better.

Also, you'll probably want to give her a squad of her own, rather than keeping her behind Reimu. She's quite competent, and Reimu will want to be paired with the best backpack in the game anyway (who you'll get in a couple stages).

Did the GC finale last night in Moon Dwellers. I know it has been said already, but wow, that was rough. Helluga's mech and the MP versions of Vaught and Regianne's mechs were the toughest parts. I probably would have had an easier time if I didn't waste a lot of SP on Regianne, but I wanted her gone fast. That said, I'm surprised I made it through with only one unit lost.

I mean, even putting the whole thing about fighting nothing but OG enemies for most of the game, just about all of the non-OG villains have their motivations altered to tie directly into either Sidereal, the Angels or the the whole time loop thing, and during the entire endgame, it's not so much about everyone putting their powers together to beat up the threat than it is about Hibiki and Edel with everybody else sort of just tagging along as support.

You can twin Touya you know. The rest is the standard boss killing strategy.

The main attacker and sub can both use Hot Blood to boost damage dealt. Even moreso if the sub has Focused Attack. You might want Fighting Spirit on your support attackers, since that guarantees critical hits. Other than that, surround the enemy on all four sides, and hit it with an Armor Breaker. Dunno about interviews, but Z1 apparently did have dummied-out data for new support lines from Amuro to Judau and Usso from V Gundam as well.

Also some other minor bits of dialogue from a pilot from GodSigma, some side characters from Orguss, Meer from Destiny, and what I remember being most interesting, Princess Rubina from Grendizer voicing Mazinkaiser attacks, Turbo Smasher Punch and Fire Blaster specifically.

Cybuster itself is a fucking top tier unit in MD too. Simply, it comes too late to be really useful and Masaki always needs a boost at his stats, because he's not exactly an ace.

And then there is the fact that with the Cybuster you get the Granzon too... Shu and Amala have absurdly ridiculous high stats. Seriously they must be nerfed somehow, although it is fun to unleash Neo Granzon, it is a little insulting.

1500 is servicable in J, but most units that have 1200-1500 armor tend to have some way to make most attacks worthless by endgame.

God Gundam gets afterimage, Vorlent has the two-layered invulnerability program, and GAT-X Gundams tend to have shields or too much evasion to even bother.

Actually the SEED Gundams are at 1300 and the God Gundam is a bit worse. But you are right that units with less 1500 or less armor tend to have a bunch of special defenses.

Granteed doesn't have those so I'm trying to avoid forcing players into choosing Melua as Touya's sub pilot.

Then the reals/Raftclans get EN Regen S, Granteed gets something else to help it survive longer. Raftclans has all three special defenses it doesn't really care.

The real issue is keeping Granteed's base power values in line so it doesn't get out of hand because J's upgrade tier variety is rather tiny, 900/1000/1100/1250.

The whole schtick about possession in LoE is they're sacrificing their whole moveset for a standard-issue P attack, a ranged attack, and really fucking strong finisher. That brings up an interesting question though, that I've been thinking about. If they made another Tokusatsu Taisen, what kind of cast list would it have? Aside from the Kamen Riders, the Sentais and the Ultramen, my best guess would probably be a Garo, Toku Spiderman if they could get that license, that live action Patlabor and some others I'm probably not familiar with. I'm not super into Toku so I don't know a whole lot but it's fun to think about the possibilities.

honestly I just go the lazy route and find one of the archives containing a shit load of nsf files and the like (seriously, shoutout to those guys, that must've taken quite a bit of time), and run it through a customized winamp stuff to make it easy on me
In this scenario, unlike all the other SRW nsf files, this one just digests the original file and returns it as one loaf, so while I'm not going to be ungrateful, I'm just saddened that my easy streak's gone away.
