Eh, piloting robots is a lot less taxing in Fafner and the enemies aren't quite as incomprehensible. And humans aren't actively trying to kill each other either.

But they both use genetically modified children to figth alien invaders. The adults are generally pretty sensible and aware of the shit they're putting the kids through in both as well.
