What does /m/ think about Crysis? Currently playing through the first one. Seems pretty fun so far.

Not /m/
>>
It's pretty MAXIMUM

Do yourself a favor and look up nanosuitninja.
>>
The mechwarrior mod for it was GOAT.
>>

>powersuits are not /m/

Yeah, you're an idiot.
>>
Crysis:Legion is my favorite alien invasion book, honestly. It does a good job of presenting an oops victory against a superior threat. It kinda helps that it was done by my favorite scifi author. I'll get around to finishing the Crysis 2 eventually.
>>
I really dug Crysis 2, especially for the awesome soundtrack.
>>
>>14665281
Its pretty good. Tossing gooks hard enough to shatter huts never gets old. The sequels are entertaining but never manage to have that spark that the original does
>>
>>14665281
It's fun until the aliens show up.
>>
>>14671777
I honestly have to agree from trying both Crysis 1 and 3 that it goes down in quality once the aliens show up(and Crysis 1 also goes down in quality a lot once power suit equipped human enemies show up)
>>
>>14672158
Those fucking power-suited chinese guys in the graveyard were such a huge pain in the ass to deal with.
>>
>>14665281
Best Predator game on the market.
>>
>>14672205
They aren't much better at dealing with stealth than anyone else. If your aim isn't too shit you can kill them with one magazine from that AK-like weapon at close range, and probably less from many others. They also die very quickly from being meleed at MAXIMUM POWER, even on Delta difficulty.

I thought it was a fun idea to have the player get hunted for once. One could question the game design in suddenly making the player fight four of them with no warning, though there are many far worse design decisions in the later parts of the game.

>>14667779
It's definitely one of the best game soundtracks I've heard. Too bad Zimmer keeps getting all the credit when he only composed the main theme and then had one of his minions make a couple of tracks (that aren't even the best ones).
>>
well i started with crysis 2.

tried to stealth everything for the catalyst

but sometimes u gotta go in guns blazing lol
>>
>>14672205
I vaguely remember accidentally trivializing that fight on account of somehow bringing a jeep along and just mowing them all down with the turret

there were a lot of fun segments in that 1st game
>>
>>14665281
>build PC literally two days ago
>buy crysis trilogy, crank up settings to max on original game
>those fucking graphics
It's a fucking 2007 game, jesus christ. Managing suit abilities and its mix of stealth, action, and speed is actually a ton of fun.
>>
>>14672205
I thought this, too. Eventually after they killed me like eight times, I stopped treating it like a fire fight and just took the stealth approach by hiding in the bushes and blowing their heads off with the sniper rifle.

I kind of hated doing this, because by that point I finally realized that much of the game relied on hiding and scurrying from bush to bush especially on higher difficulty levels where MAXIMUM ARMOR is basically useless. What made it worse is that on lower difficulty the Koreans started speaking English to each other.
>>
>>14672944
The language thing was actually a pretty nice touch to the difficulty settings.
>>
I honestly don't mind the aliens. The game had it all. Fantastic FPS action, great vehicle implementation and the zero G section was fucking amaaaaaazing
