I might consider the Xenogears itself to be my favorite design, although I think I like the way it looks in PlayStation graphics more than in illustration. Also, I was sort of disappointed in the lore behind its existence. I was expecting something more than just an enhanced Weltall, something that truly made it a "Xeno" "Gear", like if it had been a piece of Deus which had existed since the crash. I had the same problem with the Omnigears, I liked the idea of ancient Gears you have to dig up, when most turned out just to be magical transformations after you find the relics, it seemed a little meaningless.

Anon probably remembered VS Full-Boost, where the fucking thing gets airlifted in space as its jump too.

Surprisingly dangerous in melee for something that's so obviously an artillery/sniper "player 2" kind of mech. Very cheap points-wise for how dangerous it is, and surprisingly capable once you understand its ammo cycling.

Not really

While maaaaaybe a bit cheaper, in (universe) practice the MA are wasting far more energy with lots of thrusters to even actually turn as fast as MS, that can simply shift its leg thrusters to change their direction in short order, so its performance is not as efficient as MS it self.


As for doms, hoverlegs offer more maneuverability than standard hover because of easier auto-adjusted stability and faster turn by shifting its own center of gravity, just like rollerskating.

Nah, Ambac can be applied in moving parts in general. But it will works correctly if it designed right, not just with slapping arms everywhere.

I just believes that legs offer flexibility of movement since, you know, you place much of your thrusters there, legs can simply readjust and shift those thrusters position at will. Also, ambacs works arround the Newton third law, so if the limbs are all used for simply holds weapons, how you able to counterbalance the force generated by the main thrusters?

I actually enjoyed the slow burn, Yeah the mechas where just apart of the setting because of the political and ancient stuff that was going on but I really enjoyed it and the supernatural elements. The series really lost me when it became about FUCKING RICE But then the episode before the last episode had a full blown confrontation between the Raidens and the Ishitars.

I always liked how the Original Seven Armors looked more like armored giants than machines. It made them contrast really well with the other mecha seen in the series.

Shin Dragon is by far the worst Getter design of all, it's a fucking barrel. Especially disappointing when the dormant version was this fantastic ominous monster. I don't care for how it was a copy of that thing from the manga either.

I hate Mr. Moustache, the face on Getter 2 looks so fucking stupid to me. From a story perspective I love what they did with Getter Dragon in Shin Getter, but I really hate it's design. It also feels like it has the most awkward proportions of any Getter, Getter 1 may be fat but it's design flows better and for me has a lot more charm.
