Not really, it wasn't very good. It's kind of up in the air whether Try's "Chicken How and tryharding>all" is better or worse than "get Bandai to print you special parts and you can wipe out hundreds of custom builds in seconds".

I liked a lot of stuff in Gunpla builders, but Build Fighters 1 was better.

It fucked it all up with Beginning 30

Takeru Nekki - Hero of the story. An enthusiastic junior high student with a deep passion for Gunpla. Figlia Contini - Attends the same school as Nekki and Arisugawa. She is Italian, and went to Japan to become a Gunpla Meister. She uses the ORB-01 Akatsuki Gundam Corleone. She later loses to Takeru, falls in love with him, and tries to win his heart.

I really loved this OVA, something about it just spoke to me.
I also like how it parodied some gundam tropes like instead of falling into the cockpit he found the gunpla at a convention.
I actually liked the Beginning 30 design too, it almost felt slammed together in a Nu-Gundam type of way due to how he unexpectedly got the parts.
I wish they'd made this longer or at least animated the side stories but we got BF so I wont really complain.

Beginning D is the unit of the MC of the Gunpla Builders D sidestory, the one that features the goth loli and her her own custom red units, as well as being a general "101 Gunpla Basics" guide with a bit of story.
